You may want to have some sort of reader's guide or something, however. I think people might find it difficult to follow otherwise.
Anyway, these are suggestions from a person whose own comic is... well...bleh, at best.
Oh, yeah. Try making your comic update on certain days of the week, rather than sporadically. That's a suggestion someone else gave to me, and I think it's a good one. Then people know when to check your comic and when not to. Mine was supposed to be daily but it's gone down to twice per week. At least it's not quite so sporadic as when it initially began. Blech! But readers now know to check it out on Mondays and Fridays... and oh, yeah, Wednesdays if I have an extra strip. Wheefun.
By the way, for another nutty fantasy comic, try Mixed Myth. She does a wonderful job.
