Of course, the joke is a take on the age-old question of a tree falling and whether it makes a sound if no one hears it--a rather gross simplification of Hegylian materialism.
Yes, I took philosopy in college. No, I didn't understand a damn word. Yet somehow I made a B.
I have always preferred the teachings of Mr. Ed to that of the French existentialist and mathemetician. But then again, I was never one to put Decartes before the horse.
