Looks pretty much like a Lord of the Rings parody to me, doesn't it?

I've heard of Token Rings (and I made the same connection when I first heard of them) and I know what Ethernet is (to a degree).
I don't really 100% get all the networking jargon, but I know a joke when I see one... and that's all that counts
Peace;

What is a token ring, Mr Punktiger?
I got most of the other "network jargon" terms, but this one puzzled me.
Could you maybe explain it please?

I quote my other post:

quote:

...I will now be writing and updating this comic for my own amusement, when ever the feeling moves me...

So, even though I knew many people wouldn't get all of the jokes in this comic(I'm in a networking class, it's not even normal computer-ese), it was funny to me.
don't worry though, I'll usually keep my jokes understandable to all (even if you don't find it funny) because computers and their techno-babbel is only a small part of my life.
expect plenty of basic, low level, low brow, vulgar (and hopefully hilarious) stuff to come as well.

and to help you TDS,
Token ring is just a set up for a network of computers. it uses as "token" that the group of computers pass along (in a ring) to each other and only the computer holding the token can "speak" (use the phone line/cable). it cuts down on cross computer interferance.
so hence my "Lord of the Token rings" parody.
