subject choices

am i stupid or does anyone else understand some of the new subjects in the comic?just a warning to walks, if you talk about things that no one understands, peope will be discouraged and not read your comic anymore...am i wrong?(erin)

I've heard of Token Rings (and I made the same connection when I first heard of them) and I know what Ethernet is (to a degree).I don't really 100% get all the networking jargon, but I know a joke when I see one... and that's all that counts <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">Peace;

I got most of the other "network jargon" terms, but this one puzzled me.

Token ring is just a set up for a network of computers. it uses as "token" that the group of computers pass along (in a ring) to each other and only the computer holding the token can "speak" (use the phone line/cable). it cuts down on cross computer interferance.so hence my "Lord of the Token rings" parody.
