I realize that maybe about three people will actually read this, but it feels better to at least write out the words in my head right now, so I'm going to do it anyways.
My presence on the boards has dropped lately, to the point where I maybe post once a week. I'm sorry to say that this is in no way symbolic of me losing interest in webcomics or the communities - I still find both extremely enjoyable. Unfortunately, that means that it's because of a personal crisis that has recently inflated and grown to far larger proportions. Suffice to say that I wouldn't be much fun to be around on the boards even if I were there. (It's debatable whether or not I ever was, but that's neither here nor there.)
I don't know when this will be over, although it will hopefully be soon. But that doesn't change the fact of the matter, and it doesn't mean that I can really predict a swift conclusion to my situation. Moreover, I don't know how long the recovery time for this will be, so it may be a while after it's passed that I'm really able to return to my prior posting activity. Actually, it might be more accurate to say ANY activity - right now, it's all I can do just to get through each day, and I don't feel safe writing or drawing since I know the quality of work would be affected.
So this is both an explanation and at least a temporary goodbye - I don't know when I'll be back. Special shout-outs go to a few people first. Carson Raycraft, he runs a great message board game and has a kickass comic too. Damonk... well, he gave me my own link section, which is pretty damned cool. Slappy the Stick, Cecilalon has been my desktop wallpaper for a while, and I find serenity in that many cats. John Troutman, he played along as I hunted him ruthlessly, and he also has a kickass comic. And most of the forum posters... it always was nice to read the little snippets of insanity that got posted.
This could be over next week, or next month. But until then, I'll be absent. If you really give a crap, feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
, or visit my site (that always makes me feel better). Hope nothing massive happens until then.
