MESSAGE BOARD SCORING SYSTEM

In an attempt to prove I could make a better Sporting league then the NFL, I decided to set up some scoring rules for the forum. Scoring will act sorta like KOOL-AID points, and when you reach levels that I feel are Spifftastic enough, I shall award REALLY SHITTY prizes. The Rules shall always be updated, so things can change. I'm not involved in the game, as I'm the point awarder. Here's the points you can obtain:

1 Point for every post
-2 points for a double post
5 Points if a Post is directly responded to by a FTT
15 Points if a Post is directly responded to by Alan Alda
5 Points for finishing posts with Spling, Whoop or Ploot
10 Points each time you make me laugh
20 Points for suggesting a rule that I like and should add to this list
25 Points if the thing that makes me laugh actually makes sense
50 Points for an obscure Star Wars Reference
25 Points for a blatant Star Wars Reference
75 Points for a Star Wars reference about Wedge Antilles
100 Points if I don't get the Star Wars Reference
50 Points for becoming a minion of the Fourtoon Tellers (only awarded once)
50 Points for Obscure Indiana Jones Referances
25 Points for obvious Indiana Jones Referances
50 Points for Obscure Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference
25 Points for obvious Monty Python and the Holy Grail Reference
-10 Points for saying 'NI'
75 Points for Blatant Carson Worshipping
-10 Points for NOT Cheering for the Leafs
75 points for killing a topic (no response in 3 days)
100 points for killing the board (no posts for three days)
100 points for starting a thread that catches "on fire"
-200 points if 10 of the fifteen posts in an on fire thread are yours

A boot to the top, yes, but it's more... much more... than meets the eye.<P>Here's a thought for balancing things out if there will be more than one round to this: at the beginning of each round, players from the previous gains get MINUS their score from the last game divided by two. For example, I have around 3100 points now, so if that doesn't change until the end of the game, then I'll start the next round with -1550 points - I'll need to score at least 1551 points to have a positive score. That way, nobody can easily dominate each and every round, and newbies have a better chance of catching up. Plus, it means even MORE posts as previous champs struggle to get back their points.<P>Anyhow, spling. "It's the ACT I enjoy more than any real nourishment."
