heh, interesting way of putting it.. I kinda thought that might be a possibility in its own way, but I don't want to it to come off as an excuse to justify my lifestyle. I do tend to worry about why a lot of peope seem so obsessed with overpopulating the planet as it is. Reminds me of a disussion someone had about whether or not they felt obligated to have children, just because their folks wanted grandkids to spoil rotten.. rather lousy excuse.

I think the whole point is that god knows everything, he knows every path that could be taken, and every descion that could be made. The direction i'm going with this is that we make descions and it's our choices that put us in heaven or hell. We, not god, make the choice if we are going to go to hell or not. God's here because everyone would make the final descion to go to heaven, but it's the descions we've made in the past that will deem us worthy enough for heaven.
I think that there is doubt as to weather or not someone is going to go to heaven the moment that they are born. As they grow old and loose their innocence, it is via the test of time that they go through the burdens of life, and where judgement is made.
You sit through hours and hours of lectures learning from your teacher. Your teacher gives you a test in order to see if you learned anything in the lectures. It's multiple choice, A B C or D. Your teacher knows you know everything that there can, but STILL it is your choice as to weather or not you make the right descion. Ofcourse life is more complex then this, and some people have harder tests in life then others.
I see drip as a powerful soul, perhaps an ancient soul. He was given a test that he was destined to fail. But there is always hope. Perhaps small, but it's always there.
I have a feeling, that we've all been to hell at least once. As a weak soul, a confused soul and it is with redemption while in hell that we gain strength, to return. This time the test is harder, did you really mean by what you said "I'm sorry for what I've done." Hope so, because this will be a tough life where the odds will be against you.
The idea of power in hell might be choosing to be in hell. Did Fnar choose to stay in hell because he wanted to be with his mother?
I don't know.
Hell, Heaven, it's all speculative. My guess, they exists somewhere out there for somebody. And even though God does know everything, he does not have the power over our free will. Merely able to make a good guess as to what is to come.<P>------------------
