Well notice how hard as nails Silver was before she started remembering. Kane blinds her to these things until Jack intervenes.

who's Kane? Citizen Kane?
Maybe Kane and Able, the children of Adam and Eve.
Kane killed Able when Able was richer and better liked by God than he was.

It is also said that God punished Kane by making him undead, the world's first vampire...

That's Kain, not Kane.

Kane is just another name...you know...like Drip...Jack...Bob...Lisa...

That sort of thing.

Actually, if I recall correctly the artist had a 'story' of sorts for each name, including where the name came from...

Yeah! You know, those evil bad guys that like to drink blood and turn into bats and stuff! Image

Me? I thought Kain the vampire was just a video game character... But it wouldn't be the first time a game was based on an existing legend...

The Cain/Vampire association comes from the Storyteller system roleplaying game 'Vampire the Masquerade' produced by the White Wolf game company.

It's been knocking around for at least ten years now, probably more.

And I'm such a geek for knowing this.

Not only that. It actually goes a bit further back than that...hebrew mythology is very, very extensive and covers a lot more area than the regular 'holy books'. The 'spawn of Kain' may not be actually linked to the vampires of eastern european legend, but there's definitely a race of life-stealing, light-hating demons in those stories. A sort of dark 'anti-humanity'.

I have a nasty hunch that anything can exist if people belive it. what if our brain wavees inevertinly change reality as we know it at random points of time? like bigfoot, or unicorns, dragons ect...

I suppose though that since, this IS the end end of the day...Kains job here is to make her forget again, just as jacks job is to make her remember. which means the poor janitor in hell is gona have to scrap that poor girl silver throws out the window off the pavement... *puts on his hat and wheels out his cart with sawdust and a shovel...*

Some philosophers and scientists have a nasty hunch that things ONLY exist if a person believes it.

Well the idea is that the more belife the more 'power' a god or whatever has, so all the greek gods are still alive, for example, but the upstart new gods have all the money, bitches, power, respect, yo. So this also means Cthulu is real
