Has anyone else noticed that the new forum is slow as dirt?

Post by Ovalescent »

My friend has a 28.8 modem, and this page loads slower for me (with DSL) than bigger, more graphic-intensive pages do for him! Is this a temporary thing, or are all php bulletin boards like this?
The main problems facing the world today are too many babies and not enough food. I think the solution is obvious.

I've got a T1 connection and this is the slowest page I've ever been to in my life! Even sitting at home with my 56K dial up would have gotten to a page faster than this. Those keenspace people really screwed up this time.

It's really aggravating, as I'm not a patient person. I hate to say it, but if it's going to take me this long to even READ a topic in the forum, I may stop coming altogether.

1.I first had desided to shout out that this is the SLOWEST forum EVER,
2. but then the forum worked just fine for a while and I desided to tell it was okey.
3. But when I pressed the reply button I had to wait for 3 minutes before it responded!! So NOW I'M PISSED OFF AGAIN!!

Can't keenspace get a grip and fix when somethings goes wrong for once!!!

I'm sitting at a university computer right now...that means a line that makes a T1 look like dial-up. A minute or more to load a page.

It's not a connectivity issue that's causing the slowness. KeenSpace is a free service, and you get what you pay for. You pay nothing...

(No, I will not pay for that silly "KeenSpace Premium", because of the absolute a55tacular performance for the freebie service that doesn't really even meet basic minimums for acceptable behavior. TANSTAAFL, I know, but if KS wants to attract my money they've gotta do a helluva lot more than the current craptacular situation.)
