Graveyard Greg of Gaming Guardians is also speaking out against Furries at the moment but there have been many furries in that strip... *Shrug*

He's not speaking out against furries... he's just making a joke and voicing the opinion that furry muck is only there for them to yiff.

And lets face it 99% of the population do just that. Well thats what all the people who go there say, and what the furry muck admins say... and just about everyone else =P

And as he even said, he likes SMT, he does crossovers with Drake. He ain't got anything against furries apart from the fact he has no intrest in faffing about on a MUD where you get randomly hit on or even worse spooged on.

I stand corrected. That's what happens when you don't double check your facts

Btw. The furry = 'sex freak' is like those who thinks that a hacker is someone who breaks into computer systems. GAH! That's a cracker goddammit...

Ssthisto got annoyed when the host of Subatomiclaundry (who turned out to be Furie4jesus, he just pretended to be two people) refused to remove the artwork of hers that had been altered and reposted on his site. She went over his head and contacted his ISP directly, informing them very specifically about the laws he was breaking and they promptly shut down the entire subatomiclaundry domain for violations of their agreed usage policy.

After what I heard about it, I'm glad that they didn't air that MTV show on UK TV.

It focused solely on the 'lunatic fringe' types (as mentioned in another thread), right? Shock jock TV reporting on a phenomenon they have no clue about, right?

Just semi-educated guesses. Am I correct on any of them?

Okay... I don't get it. Do Furries get picked on more than other labled groups? I mean, the people I know rarely say anything, good or bad, about furries. Especially if you compare this to the contempt directed at, oh, say Trekkies. Anyone who plays D&D (yours truly) will end up verbally battered in short order if you go around announcing it. I dare one of you 20+ year olds to buy a pokemon T-shirt and to wear it out in public. Are you a goth? More stereotypeing there to be sure. Jocks, Geeks, Fanboyz, Preps, Red Necks... hell, even things you can't help like your age or gender. Everyone lives with these lables.

So, back to my question. Do 'furs' have it any worse or something? Cause the last time I checked, furs seem more ignored than persecuted.

Hey, my particular subculture of choice (roleplayers) is routinely accused of satanism...and most 'casual' roleplayers tend to look down on us LARPers.

If you're part of a group, you'll be discriminated against by those not in that group. Fact of life.

Exactly my point!

(Oy... I get accused of being satanic all the time. I don't even believe in satan. Sheesh. I don't know whether to laugh loudly or quietly when people make that accusation...)

Remember that those who oppose rpgs and LRP/LARP:s are not always christian although many say so. In my opinion most of anti-roleplayers have magical view of world. That is (thanks to my poor english) that they beleve devil waits for single mistake to grab their soul and everything that reminds them for that is evil. Of course it

Hey! Don't excuse their witch hunt mentality ignorance! If you don't know what something is, that's a reason NOT to jump to conclusions. For some reason people seem to turn their ignorance meter to full blast when it comes to certain groups! Role Players and Goths get it really bad... especially Goths...

Me? When I don't know what something is, I tend to say "Huh? What's that?" not "It must be bad!"
........
Unless it was a group called 'The Scab Pickers' or something... but hey.
