In an effort to keep this board ACTIVE ...

I am stepping up my efforts at attempting to instill life on what is an ohterwise dead board ... *kicks tumbleweeds out of his way* ... and it shouldn't be dead, considering how wickedly funny the comic that this board is for is ...
So where is everyone HIDING, exactly? *pokes around under the rocks and in the buildings of this ghost town*
S.W. Give me more credit than that, please!
Oh, and for all who care, I have gone and gotten myself a LiveJournal, for kicks...it's pretty fun, actually. http://www.livejournal.com/users/mageraine
------------------

If you plan to see more than one of them, you had better stop sucking royally at it, and damn fast ..... because it takes mad skill to get some of those endings. I should know, I've seen at least 5 of the 6 endings, and some of them are damn annoying to nail!
-S.W. Winchester?
PS : After this, try "Earthbound" ... whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. That's one SNES game I never beat (my original SNES died before I could, and the replacement SNES was obtained ... after I lost the game!). Besides, it's a fun(ny) play.

Aigh, Earthbound...I tried my hand at that one a long time ago, and just when I was getting somewhere...my rom died. GYARGH! I was upset about that. Don't ask me how it happened, I'll just say that I made the mistake of trusting it on the family computer at home. ::sigh:: Oh well.
------------------

A more GENERAL SENSE? I don't even know who I am beyond that I am, and even that I question at times.

BTW : You think Chrono Trigger is as addictive as Crack now, wait until you realize you'll have to beat it 5 times - because there's 6 endings (Counting the "You lose").

Actually, technically, there's somewhere around 15 endings, so I hear...that's including four variations on the Millenial Festival...and I plan to get them all! Muhahahahahahahah!!!
*coughcough* Uhm...yeah.
------------------

Again, let me repeat that if you need some aid getting there, and can get to Philly, you can ride with me. I think Fanboy is allready going to be rolling down with me from Philly ... one more for the ride would be no problems whatsoever. Just pack light, the ford taurus isn't a minivan - even if it is only about a 2.5 hour drive from Philly (I checked it, it's a lot closer than we thought!)
And an SNES can be gotten VERY cheap from E-bay ... usually no more than $30, working condition, 2 controllers, sometimes more gear and games with it (but that moves the price up, naturally).
SWW

Actually, Earthbound isn't that hard...

...if you use the guide that came with the game.
::hangs head ashamedly:: I'm sorry, I was only eleven years old at the time!!

Heyyyy...
time for an ending count! What endings has each person gotten from Chrono Trigger?
I've gotten:
-the Frog ending(go through lavos gate just after getting Frog in your party, but before you rescue Queen Leene)
-the Reptite ending(go through lavos gate after landing in 65,000,000 BC after beating Magus)
-Frog vs. Magus(go through lavos gate after getting complete masamune but before entering Magus' castle)
-Crono+Marle balloon trip(I don't remember... I think it's by using the Epoch time machine and going to the Day of Lavos, but I can't remember... >_<)
-Epoch-through-time(one of the standard ones going through the game for the first time)
-The Programmers' Ending(go immediately through the Lavos Gate in the millenial fair on the right telepod as soon as you get the chance... or, you can beat lavos in the Ocean Palace)
-The Nu Ending(I have absolutely no-fricking-idea. I just know I got it. it involves Nu running around, chasing a tan frog across the screen. I think it's AFTER raising the Black Omen, but before beating it)
*(and don't forget, a few of these endings have variations on whether Frog is human or not depending on whether you beat Magus!)
let's see... that's... at least 7. whew. applause for me! ::grin::
[This message has been edited by Illusions abound (edited 05-03-2001).]

Ah yes, Boardiecon. Still unsure about that. See, because I'll need to have a car. And in order to get a car, I need to get a job. And in order to get a job, I need to get my priorities straight. ^_^;; As for Earthbound...sounds nice, but I'm lacking one small component for that to work - a SNES. But be sure that if I go to boardiecon (I'd give it about 85% chance right now), I *will* bring my entire collection of Trigun.
------------------

Hmm. Well, I just found out TONIGHT who has that cartridge of mine - and it's stragey guide, for that matter - so if you want to take a stab at it after boardiecon, I'll consider bringing it with me. And yes, there is now a 100% chance I will be there.
You still going to try to be there? We need SOMEONE to bring the Trigun VHS, since I doubt I'll have ALL of the DVD's for it by then ...
-S.W. Winchester

Gee, leseeee here. I haven't played the game since it CAME OUT ... although I know I had most of the listed endings at that time.
Don't ask me for a count, and no, I don't recall what most of them were like. I just know I loved the game.
-S.W.W
