Be assured I'd do this on my own forum if I thought anyone would read the thing, but I need some results before Wednesday.

Basically, I've got a Math project for school in where I have to take a survey, and find relationships and correlations and suchlike. Fortunately, I' was allowed to choose the subject. The survey's at http://liz.alfedenzia.com/comicsurvey.php for anyone who's a nice person and wants to help me with my homework.

You don't have to enter your real name, by the way. Your forum handle will do.

Yahtzee: Deal. I'll just have to make more fanart, then. (Just kidding. You never owed me anything for the fanart. Plus I'm in the middle of two or three other projects)

My first was Sluggy, after someone on the woodchat mailing list mentioned it (the people on the list were at the time talking about being 'as harmless as kittens', and Sluggy was just finishing up the kittens storyline, I think).

Everyone, thank you for sending your results in (now that I have all your personal information, I will be able to carry out my nefarious scheme! Muhahaha!), I've got enough now to finish the project. Heh. Turns out we don't have to avoid bias, just recognize it. That's certainly conveinient for me. I wonder if I should post on my Survey thread on the CRFH board (I did it on two boards, because I was mildly desperate) to tell people to stop sending their results in or let it die a natural death. Natural death sems easier.

Ok, I swear these forums go down just as I'm trying to post just to spite me. That'll teach me not to copy all my text before hitting the 'Submit' button. Lousy post-eating forum.

Um, anyway, as I tried to say before the forum went down, I was looking at the survey results and discovered that out of the 42 people who responded to the survey, no less than five people cited YTOTW as their first comic. Admittedly, it's a bit biased, since this is the only keenspace forum I posted the survey to, but still. 10 people first read Sluggy, 5 each for YTOTW and CRFH, 4 for User Friendly and Sinfest etc. I won't post the whole list here.

Anyway, I just thought some people might be interested.

My first was a bloody sprite comic! 8-bit theater, was recommended to me by a friend just a few short months ago. Sometime late last semester. I think one day I followed one of the links at the bottom of his site, and eventually found a keenspot comic (was It's Walky!) And from there, well... I found a butt-load of others, including the esteemed Mr. Yahtzee here. I really dig these things, and I have since started up my own comic. Ahh... the joys of the internet.

Just to reassure you, YTOTW was my first webcomic. I came here after playing the "Rob Blanc" games, which I found by playing Phil's "Larry Vales" games. Sorry Yahtzee, but his were so much funnier, though you'd easily kick his ass in comics. Whatever happend to Larry Vales 3? All I can find is the demo.

YTOTW was my first web comic. I got it through Rob Blanc, which I got through Ambrosine's games, but I dunno how I found Amby's.

THE HELL! That is the exact same way i got to YTOTW! You stole it from me.

Heres a handy timeline of my comic reading history.

YTOTW Via Rob Blanc---> Glick Glidewell via his sig---> Fuzzball via his sig---> Sluggy via link found on... where was it again?---> Non Persons/No Stereotypes/The Experiment via recommendation by Glick---> FRAMED! via link and thats it. Done.

So theorectically, if I make a post with the link to my comic displayed rather prominantly in my sig...

I went Sluggy -> GPF-> CRFH-> COTC-> rather a lot of Keen(spot/space).
