The actual "jason-cam in the bushes" sound is kih kih kih mah mah mah. It's a soundclip of Little Kid Jason in the first movie saying "kill her mommy, kill her" (quote approximated). They took beginning of "kill" and "mommy" and added echoes and such.<P>------------------

- At the beginning of this thread we were disputing a sound effect heard several times in the Friday the 13th movies, which sounds like someone whispering 'kih hih hih hoh hoh hoh', or 'mah mah mah' if you're MaskedMonk apparently. You have to see the films to know it. I think the sound is embedded into the front page of <A HREF="http://www.pitofhorror.com" TARGET=_blank>http://www.pitofhorror.com</A> , but I could be wrong.<P>- 'Just call him Jason Voorhees, the Sam Beckett of the serial killing world' - Me, the Jason goes to Hell article.<P>Sam Beckett was the name of the main character in Quantum Leap, played by Scott Bakula, whose trademark was he could only see his true visage in mirrors. Ok, monstervision was this show that was on a few years ago (if it's still on it's on at a gross time like 4 AM or something) and it showed horror/scifi/fantasy movies, with commentary bits featuring a drunken redneck type dude. Anyway, every year on haloween they did a marathon of a movie with a bunch of sequels, and those previously mentioned sequels. So one haloween they did Friday The 13th and company, and I learned from Drunken Redneck Guy that the kih kih kih mah mah mah was an edited soundclip of Little Kid Pre-Death Jason saying "kill her mommy, kill her" because as you all know (probably from watching Scream you non-old movie watching fools) that Jason wasn't the killer until the second movie.<P>------------------
