If what you're impressive for is being a pompous ass, bonus points, I say.Tetramorpheus wrote:I take it this comment excludes those who are pompous asses of an impressive degree, or would that simply be the best of both worlds?Cyril_Dran wrote:And, you can be impressive and a pompous ass at the same time, you know.

In the 'States the radix prefix for the toll center starts with a valid sequence but the local toll index numbe doesn't work. It would end up being a service data line number for testing. All of the international readers out there familiar with the workings of their telecom system might have a better chance of a match. But as fare as Allan is concerened that number simply doesn't exist => real world plot device.Buck wrote:Area code 135 doesn't really exist, I guess?
For those interested state-side:
1(AAA)BCC-DDDD
Where AAA=trunk switching toll locator, B=local trunk switchboard number, CC=switchboard district number, DDDD=end user ID

The days of XB and SBS are long gone, they were very good for those seeking anomonimity. The blue box isn't what it used to be. *sigh*Buck wrote:Showing your age.Micro_Fur wrote:Micro_fur - No, I never was a phreaker. <_<
Micro_fur - Age is relative, knowlege is quantitative, wisdom is the index.
