(OT) Private Message?

Postby DetailBear on Wed Apr 25, 2007 3:47 pm

Comic Genesis messaged me about 1:00 p.m. today that I had received a PM. When I logged in to check, nothing remotely new. Is anyone else getting odd messages? Nothing in the help topic.

Or did someone message me then get cold feet and recall it? I don't bite. Really. :o

Since I got one as well (but only on one of the two accounts? I know that they are both active, I checked the one I'd set up after this one vanished for a few years and it's still around), it's safe to think it is probably a glitch on ComicGenesis.

does some checking

This thread on the CG General Discussion forum finds that this seems to be a general phenomenon, though not everyone got hit. It looks as if it was a spambot operating under the username 'Ugur'; several people claim to have seen the message, or at least the title, only to have it then disappear on them. Perhaps the CG admins caught it?
