Artie, a genetically enhanced, superintelligent Gerbil from the ungodly wonderful comic Narbonic, has recently been transformed into a human. He's experiencing the biological stimuli of humanity for the first time, and it's somewhat overwhelming. My favorite quip from this was "humans are always in HEAT!!! CONSTANTLY!!!"

One of his first major blunders was that in a moment of crisis, the best thing he could come up with doing was kissing Mel, the hot gun-toting femme mass-fatale of the comic. And now, well, he's fantasizing about guys.

I was very pleased to see that myself. Though I wonder if his orientation is currently scrambled owing to his transformation, and will settle, or if we'll get to enjoy seeing him react like a certain half-fox we know...

I did not know this strip. I have just browsed through so far, but it looks interesting. The site needs a serious redesign though, for it is difficult to navigate.

If by difficult to navigate you mean you can't get to the archives, that's intentional. Modern Tales lets you always see today's comic, but not the archives. You have to sign up for that.

I haven't signed up, but Narbonic is very worth getting into just reading each day's comic instead of reading any archives.

I've been reading for a few years now and loved every minute of it. (You'll notice there's a guest strip from me in the guest art section ^.^)
