Okay, so an idea was raised, why don't I portray some forumites in a picture of Saundra and Volair's wedding?
Why not?
So, if you're interested, you can post your description here and I'll add it to the list when I work on this picture. The deadline is November 1, shortly before my very rough rollout date of "Novemberish".
Legalese:
Posting a character description counts as permission to use the likeness of that character in an image which will be on a CD which will be sold for money. I will not be retaining the rights to this image; it will be freely distributable, but you retain rights to your characters and I'll put the necessary legalese on the disc to protect that.

Shakal is a 6' black panther with soft green eyes. At a ceremony like this he would be wearing a nice 2 piece black suit with white dress shirt, probably preferring to sit on Volair's side. Can't think of much more description that would really be needed, he doesn't hav any "hairstyle" per se, other then to say he would be VERY VERY happy for the couple.

Jarylan, my furry avatar, is a six foot fox. He's got one blue eye (left side) and one brown eye, his right. He wears glasses and has long hair, often drawn back away from his face, though it defies his attempts to control it. (Hair: I laff in jour face, foxie boi!) He'll be wearing whatever won't clash with the groom. If Volair is wearing white, he'll wear a black suit, if Volair is wearing black, he'll wear white. If Volair is being Volair and wearing something less...normal, Jarylan will default to white (In fact, I'd almost say he'd only wear white...but at my father's wedding he wore white, and I'd never steal the groom's thunder as it were. This is his day). Uh...that's about it. He's a dark reddish brown and cream coloured fox, a step away from your normal reds. His ears and paws are black.

Let's see... grey wolf/polar bear cross, tall, medium build, grey wolf colored fur, a short, square muzzle, fluffy fur, long thick fluffy tail (normally carried with a curl at the end to keep it from dragging), large pointy highly expressive ears, gentle, caring look, athletic but not built up, light green eyes, longish silvery grey with black streaks head-fur that is brushed backwards between and around my ears, umm... that's close enough. :)
*notes that with allan's style, he'll probably end up looking like a wolf version of volair* *is ok with that*

I'd probably show up in a relatively plain outfit, as close to a t-shirt and jeans as I could get without annoying saundra. I wouldn't have to worry about annoying volair, of course, as I suspect showing up nude would be perfectly acceptable to him.

Heh...if he isn't to begin with, Volair would BECOME a Star Trek fan just to have the excuse of a Betazed wedding. (For those not in the know, it is that planet's tradition to marry nude. Along with the entire wedding party AND ALL GUESTS also being nude.)

Um, for lack of Cyril being a furry, I'll volunteer my cat furry character, Chrissy, instead, since she's the most visually interesting that doesn't take an hour to draw... You know, it just occurred to me, I don't have any male furry characters.. weird.
Anyways; She's a cat humanoid.. She's about 5'4", with white fur... Her face and ears are red, and that patch carries down to her chest, ending in a long narrow starburst that conforms to her breasts and reaches a point at about her navel.. She also has patches of the same red like gloves on her hands and feet; the ones on her feet reach to about her shins, the ones on her hands stop at the end of the wrists... She has shoulder length hair separate of her fur that runs in a gradient from slightly darker than lavender to a pinkish red. She carries the hilt of a sword of blackened bone on a thin black belt; there is no blade. The hilt is roughly the size of the grip of a dagger, and is decorated with the Omega symbol on a small circle on the front... The only other clothing she wears usually is a Drezzer style leather jacket, open in front to show off her starburst of fur... Her specific race has full body fur, human style hands and feet with small retractable claws, is naturally clothed, hence the lack of pants, has a cat like face, but less sloped, so it's not really a muzzle. Oh, and she has a long, prehensile, cat like purple tail, the same shade as the darkest purple part of her hair. Her irises are human style, and like a ruby red. For the wedding, she'd adjust her attire to a sleeveless translucent black gown that went about to knee length, and the sword wouldn't want to come. (Yes, it's sentient)
I'd give you a description of Cyril, but he would horrifically out of place in Umlaut House's world (6'6" human with a 3" diameter white lizard like tail that tapers to a point,and no body hair, and goku style blue hair ala my avatar pic...), but Chrissy's my most visually interesting furry.. And before you start fantasizing about her, boys, she's 17 and taken, K? ^_^

I've got several other furries, but they're either not as interesting, or, in the case of my quasi lapine, would take a freaking month to draw in a repeatable manner... Oh, I remembered, I do have a male one too, but I don't use him often, which is why I forgot him

I doubt that you'd bother to use my character as I just joined, but I'll describe him physically anyways so that you can imagine him.
(Describing Zavion Srath, I have many chars, but this is the one I'll use here for now)
He's about 5'4", pretty light, but not too much. He has dark blue hair and the lower half of his body is covered in the same color fur. His eyes are navy also. In bright light his fur reflects a little and looks totally black. He has a three toed paw for feet with claws, and his hands have dog like claws instead of fingernails. He has fur around his wrists and on his shoulders as well. his skin is a light 'peach', but he gets some sun often and it tans sometimes. He's not naturally clothed but he seems to forget that at times. (if you care, the fur line starts at just top of bladder area, and his skin on that area is navy, so you do the math I'm not writing it down for you if you wanted to know.). He has a long scar on the right side of his lower abdomon that goes to his thigh, and walks with a slight limp. he has a 1 inch diameter tail that's 1.5X as long as he is tall, and the fur on the end is like a ball of fluff that if brushed right looks really pretty.
His hair is kinda messy, look at Deviantart it's had to describe. He usually wears red, but for a wedding he'd be forced to comb it all and wear something nice. He also scars on his shouldblades I forgot.. heh sorry. He wears a red ribbon on his tail near the end because he was asked to.

Forgot to say: Characters do not have to conform to Umlaut House biological convention. If THAT were so, everyone'd have to be a nearly pure-breed, all-natural, warm-blooded animal morph and have a family history connecting to a place where their species could be found at the time of the catyclism, circa 100 or so AD. (Further out for native americans, but not usually a problem.) And all marsupials (except for Opossums) would have to be descended from aborignal Australians, NOT British Australians.
We're going to assume the availability of a dimensional gate, so as far as characters go, anything goes. You can and probably should choose the character you'd want to have there, not the one you think is most likely to be naturally occurring in the UHniverse. I didn't get into it in the strip, but once the time travel barrier is broken, it's not long before species barriers follow; within three generations appearance in the UHniverse is almost entirely up to personal choice.

Well, if you want to use Cyril, he's about 6'6", moderately built, lacks all body hair except for actual hair and eyebrows.. He has green slitted eyes, like, slightly reptilian.. Look at the avatar, you can barely see it... Additionally, he has a reptillian tail about 4 to 5 feet long, and 3 inches in diameter as earlier stated, tapering off to a point at the end... He has blue hair in the color specified on my avatar, which he generally keeps done in a Goku like style, as it's a bitch for his race to change their hair style (Like, 2 hour ordeal to do it right)... He'd probably be wearing a formal Gi like thing, with a Katana strapped ornamentally at his side. In case you hadn't guessed, all my characters are fighters, by the way..
Additionally, he has several morphs, but he wouldn't be in any of them for a wedding, unless someone had a bomb or something, so it's kinda a moot point...

So do you mean that I can submit myself as a gryphon? Male, average height, average weight, wearing as little as I can get away with. If a taur isn't apropriate (where the hell would I sit?), then I'm a grey cat, everything else is the same.

Woot! Excuse me while I port my description off FurryMUCK...
Ahem.
A 6' 5" tall foxen with bright orange-red fur, but adorned upon his brow are 8 small, multi-colored gems surrounding a larger oval, teal gem.
Further up his head, you can see the short brown headfur, yet a protruding horn curves backwards from beneath the locks. Your sight gazes back down to his brown eyes, which seem to draw you into his mind... It is then that you see that he has two sets of cheekruffs. One pure white with a wolven influence. The other set white and orange-red with foxen orgins. (These are set in reverse order, foxen as background, wolven in front.)
He wears a black, form-fitting mage suit. The suit shows off his stocky, well-toned build as his arms are folded across his chest, his hands, visible, the fur black as night.
Lower still, the suit is seen as a one piece and covers his body from neck to lower paws. His tail, adorned with a white tailtip, curls around his left leg slightly as you notice his digitgrade paws, with triangular black markings covering the top of his paws down to the toes in a descending fashion. It is then you notice the large, dragon-like, black wings surrounding his frame.

Anyway. For the longest time I didn't really have a furry persona, but I guess that Salgrus has filled the void for now. So: yellow fur, black spots above and under eyes, square glasses, dreadlocks. Doesn't really have a specific species, but I guess he's generally canine. Hold on, I think I have a drawing of him on deviantArt... *checks* Yeah, here it is. (His ear and glasses aren't normally mangled... that's just how I felt at the time. >.> ) I imagine he'd be wearing something nice, dark, and nondescript. Let's see, he detests getting dressed for anything (actually, he detests clothes in general, and only wears them because reptiles can't produce their own body heat), so he'll go with a pair of black slacks, a white long-sleeve button-up shirt (he rarely wears shorts or short-sleeves due to past weight issues), a black leather vest, and his standard battered fedora with the equally battered feather on the left side. Oh, he's light sensitive also, so he'll wear shades.

Let's see, he detests getting dressed for anything (actually, he detests clothes in general, and only wears them because reptiles can't produce their own body heat), so he'll go with a pair of black slacks, a white long-sleeve button-up shirt (he rarely wears shorts or short-sleeves due to past weight issues), a black leather vest, and his standard battered fedora with the equally battered feather on the left side. Oh, he's light sensitive also, so he'll wear shades.

Of course, I had another thought following this that I should include someone very dear to me in this, and I must ask him if he wants to be featured, and if it's all right with you Mr Alan for me to request two characters be put in this big picture fo yours.Hat-Kun is a moderately-sized, light brown kangaroo with no particular traights that seem apparent except for the arctic-camoflage labcoat and translucent blue visor over his eyes (That is worn partially out of habit, and partially because it gives small pieces of data on things of interest when active) that he wears as often as possible. At the current time, he has some light blue jeans on along with the labcoat and inactive visor, and is smiling at the sight of the happy couple.

DetailBear is a 6'7", slightly overweight Black Bear (Urso Americanus) with medium brown fur, who wears gold, round-frame glasses.

While I'm a relatively fresh face on the forum, I'd be positively delighted to be featured in one of Allan's works.
My typical avatar is a bunny of cinnimon-coloured fur and brown eyes, fairly tall and usually grinning. Also fairly shameless, and as such likely to be wearing something slinky and low cut, while still being dignified enough for a wedding.
Her typical behavior at such an event would likely entail some tears of joy, some gushing about the beauty of it all, and a few passes made at members of the wedding party, likely including the bride and groom.
If, of course, Allan wishes to trim down the number of people in the picture somewhat by restricting the cast to those who have been actively posting on the forum for longer than I have, then I'll just have to be off-camera, flirting with one of the ushers.
