What do you mean, "Goes" nuts? I've never NOT been nuts, as near as I can tell. God forbid if this is my natural state and I actually go nuts...

On a somewhat related note, how are you doing on the Forumite sketch? I know it's a lot of different styles and new body shapes/types you haven't done before, so I imagine it's going to be tough..
I don't know about the other forumites, but if you can't visualize any part of whichever of my characters you decided to draw, I'd love for you just to ask me instead of trying to botch it.. I've drawed before, a little, and I know that for me, the more information I have, the better. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we want to help you with your projects as much as possible, be it through loving support and advice or whatever.

I... uh.. haven't started yet.
This is because the November 1 deadline hasn't arrived yet, and there may yet be others who want on, and because I have been working to get the finale done on time. (Believe it or not, many pages still have not been fully colored!) Also, I'm kind of hoping that working on the fourmite picture will help to distract me from the awful mess this year's election is almost garanteed to be. (Well, it's POSSIBLE that the election will go off without a hitch, but I kind of doubt it, given the deep divide in this country and the razor's edge (usually within polling error margin) that balances this race.)
Plus, I'm back at grad school and I had to spend the last two weekends helping my sister paint her house.
I'm not procrastinating! I swear!

Character Portraits
Again, I'm not really expecting to be in the sketch as I joined so late (although I'd like to be in it) but if you need any references on any characters I designed (ei Zavion or the species that Cyril's character is) feel free to ask on me as well. http://www.deviantart.com/view/8160889/ Here's a link to a picture of Zavion sans clothing (and a conveninetly placed tail to make it not 'adult' and schoolsafeish) It's an Oekaki and not the best work I could have done. I can't find a decent Cyril picture of mine, the very old ones were back in the day when I invisioned him with 'retardely large hair'. I hope that helps?
I don't like signatures, so I'm not making one.

The kingdom of this drawing is like this:
Matthew 20:9-16:
And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius.
Now when the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius.
And on receiving it they grumbled at the householder,
saying, `These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.'
But he replied to one of them, `Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius?
Take what belongs to you, and go; I choose to give to this last as I give to you.
Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?'
So the last will be first, and the first last."
Heh, all them confirmation classes were good for something! Being part of the people who like my work is plenty enough to earn you a drawing, and my only regrets are that I can't do more for those that came earlier, and that I can't put those who don't show up until after Novermer 1 in. All of you, no matter how late or early in coming, have been a part of the wonderful joy that has been my first comic, and I will be honored by all of you who stay, and if I'm lucky those yet to come, being part of my (hopefully long) career in comics.

Hehe, just kidding. And I think I speak for most of your fans, Allan, when I say that coming back once or twice a week and having another humorous, often rather cute, and always entertaining comic to read was all the "payment" we ever possibly expected. And personally, I felt overpayed with the ammount of laughs and joy I've gotten from your work. When I first proposed the idea it was just as a "This would be really cool but I know he's busy and no way it'll ever happen" idea, only in my wildest, happiest dreams did I imagine it would actually happen.
So thank you, thank you Allan. I agreed to a denarius, and you're giving me the house.

Thanks
I would like to thank you for the denauris that I was even too late to agree to, and I don't begrudge your generosity. I guess I'm usually a fan of seniority. I hope that, after the Novemberish date that you'll still frequent the forum, as long as I'm interested and it's active, I'll try to visit it daily (assuming something bad doesn't happen or I lose the cookie to the webpage or something). Now I'm more anxious than ever to see this sketch (I was anxious enough waiting for it when I thought Cyril might be in it).

Keep in mind, there's a very good reason I changed the title of the main page:
In a few years, there will be not one but MANY comics on this page. My career in comics is, I would like to hope, only just getting started. Of course if some low-probability event such as the writers of Father of the Pride descending from on high to offer me a job were to happen, work here would understandably slack off, but I'm going to make an effort to keep content coming for the forseeable future.
The forum will remain intact, although I may talk to the admins about getting its title changed.
However, this -is- my last year of grad school, so if there was ever going to be a year with interruptions, this would be it. However, I've promised myself that I'm at -least- going to finish the color finale before any breaks in the action occur. Also, "Beating a Dead Comic" makes lovely filler as it takes only a few minutes to do a week's worth of material, so I think this year will be characterized by lots of BaDC as opposed to long hiatuses.
(Although, if hit count is any indicator, BaDC is about as effective a visitor deterrant...)

Ah. Actually, I didn't expect you to have done much, what with the finale and all on the horizon.. I was merely offering any help I could give in advance, since it's such a big project.. I wouldn't want the project to get hung up on details that are easily obtained from us. The point of the post was really the last paragraph, with the question about the picture being a curious introduction...
Also, I'm a hound to see how others view my characters, even if they don't personally know them that well.. since I haven't really been IC for Cyril on this forum, strangely. I'd switch avatars to someone more appropriate like Sky or possibly Janus, but that'd involve me getting a new account too, which, while not costly, is a hassle..heh
ANYwhos, I don't mean to rush you, merely extend my support should you need it, since I know it's a big project that won't be easy..
