YES! Moons, yes that was a great episode! I hope it'll be on sometime soon on Sky One's re-runs of Voyager here in the UK, so long as they haven't already gone past it. In which case, I shall have to either buy the full series (That I need to do anyway), or wait for them to show it again.allan_ecker wrote:Plus, her, ah, interpretation of the Doctor in the holoship episode was sheer genius. With the Doctor in command of Seven, the actress has to act as the Doctor acting as Seven acting as a collaborator. The things she had to do! "Nothing unladylike, I can assure you," indeed.
Come to think of it, that resulted in one of the best Umbridged Seven moments of all time: "You became SEXUALLY AROUSED in my body." Carried off beautifully, we get this layer-cake of emotions, including umbridge, embarrassment, and even vague nausea.
I prefer the first option.
Still, I have to say that for my title of favourite nerd is a toss-up between Daniel Jackson and Samanther Carter. By the moons, they are just great characters. Daniel who knows so many languages it's scarey and will blindly go towards any group of aliens with a smile and try and figure out how they talk (He learned the Unas' language in what? An afternoon?). And Sam who'll give a scientific analysis on just about anything she comes across, and is adoreable when she refuses to accept any spiritual things in the universe.
Hell, I just have to put Stargate: SG1 up as my all-time favourite thing of........ all-time. It's just.......... great. There was the time that Teal'c got stung by that metamorphisising bug, and then at the end he gave the girl a water cannon, and she instantly sprayed Daniel with it.
Daniel - Are you sure we should have pre-loaded it for her?
Teal'c - How else would she defend herself? *Pulls out a bigger watergun an shoots Daniel with it*
Or on a more serious note, there was the end of the seventh season. The conclusion with what Jack said was just beautiful. So much so that I remember putting it alongside Skies of Arcadia in my mind in terms of great endings.
If there weren't still lots to go in to, I would have liked the series to have ended there and keep such a perfect end. Just like I hope for Skies.
