Missing Professor

Post by The_Fox »

Has anyone seen or heard from Randyg? Last I heard he was moving. Call me a compulsive worrier, but I'm starting to wonder how he is.

Hmm. I didn't expect people to worry about me... *snuggles everyone* :)

Just unpacked the computer today... two rooms retiled and repainted, two ceiling lights installed (house had no ceiling lights; had to fish the wires. long saga for another rant), some carpeting, refinishing some furniture (and within 5 minutes of bringing it inside, managed to ding the shellac I so carefully layered on), a lot of random repair... and still half done. the good side is this is getting me free rent for a while, meaning I have at least a slight chance of keeping any income for myself.

The bad news is it's sharing a house with a relative... so no ears, no tail, no furry art, and no signs at all of my being furry.

As to the move itself... managed to fix my car well enough to get it 500 miles to here, care of two tubes of CV joint grease, a syringe, and lots of duct tape... then made the second trip in a relative's pickup. (nothing like towing a trailer to put the toy in toyota)

I can't check my email; pacbell seems to have killed my account... I'll call them and yell at them tomorrow. grr. randyg at bushytails.net still works though.

I guess I must not be enough of a nerd, as I didn't really miss a computer that much... or else I was just so busy working all day and going to bed so exhausted that I didn't have time to miss it.

Not being able to do anything furry isn't going to be fun... I was just starting to enjoy my tablet, but won't have a chance to play with it... and was starting my first ever non-trivial colored pencil sketch... oh well, expressing yourself is highly overrated, right?

I'll probably not unpack the tablet... a 9x12 is pretty noticable. and my tail and ears are also still packed in storage... and all my art supplies... and the boxes of "toys"... and everything else that separates me from an amorphic blob.

And now I need sleep before I really do become an amorphic blob... this is only the second night in the last 2 months that I haven't slept on the floor. mmm, soft... I'll write more tomorrow (a number of threads I need to comment on, such as tips for multiple orgasms), and I did catch up on every post since I left... just too tired to write more.

*snuggles*!

p.s. On an unrelated note, I've always been a strong hater of television... but I might need to download that "Father of the Pride" series just to see if it's any good. (I have no plans of getting a television any time soon) (and BAH! I downloaded catwoman... boring. just a human with leather pointy ears. no tail. no fur. and no plot or acting, for that matter... not worth seeing.)

p.p.s. And another unrelated note... I could really use either an 866mhz socket 370 P-III, or a matched pair of another speed around the same area... don't know what I can give in return though, as I'm dead broke (and I'm not parting with my intuos nor my digital 'scope, thank you very much)... how about a 25% rebate on any sex toy purchase? (excluding a sybian or a jetaime, since my margins are very low on them). I've been spending my mostly non-existant free time mentally thinking about my raytracer (presently named "yiffray"), and want to get some cpus to put in a dualie motherboard I have, so I can build a decent test box for when I write more code... right now it can render images, but without any light reflections, etc.. and it still takes forever on my slow boxes.

p.p.p.s. I'm not a professor. I have a CS+CE BS, but no teaching credentials... and looking at the way politics are going, I'm not about to be teaching again any time soon. producing robots is NOT something I will assist with. but that's a rant for another day.

p.p.p.p.s. *snuggles*! :)

Not even a little amount of Furriness?

Believe me, I know what it's like being in the closet, but I'd draw the line at no tablet. That's just inhuman, if you'll pardon the expression. Just draw non-furry stuff when the intolerant folk are around. It'll broaden your horizons and throw them off the scent.

Hang in there man.

*huggles Randy* YAY! We missed you!

It's a bummer not being able to be furry at the moment, I feel your pain. But don't worry, things will get better, they always do.
