The most cost effective shopping trip EVAR

Post by Nyamaza »

(mis-spellign intentional for added dramatic effect)

Ok, so I walked into Best Buy about an hour ago with my old Gamecube I had bought there, eh, maybe 3 months ago. Nothing's wrong with it, but they don't need to know that.

I return the gamecube under my 2 year replacement plan I bought (for $20), and get a credit for what I paid for it ($150).

I then walk around the store, and find a nice pyramid of gamecubes they're selling, with a couple nice bundles. Particularly, Gamecube + Link disk (has on it Zelda, Zelda II, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask, plus a demo for Windwaker) + a cd player. So I pick that up.

I also wander over to the PS2 area and pick up both Ratchet and Clank, and Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (MROW!!! Kitty like!!!).

I then proceed to checkout, where I buy my stuff, including a new 2 year replacement plan on my gamecube.

Final price, after in-store credit, for buying 6 games, a demo, a cd player, renewing my service plan, and getting a brand spankin new gamecube?

$20.57

I feel smoooooooooooth 8) 8)

I cant say that things will be better if we change; what I can say is that we must change for them to get better

You. Are. The god of shopping.

That is the most deliciously devious thing I've yet heard of. You GO, lion.

No way, the God of Shopping is my friend, Jason. I don't know how, but his walking into a store with the intent to buy X will automatically make X be on sale, or mis-priced, or soemthing like that.

One time he walked into Best Buy, and walked out with 3 movies and a gift certificate. They literally paid him to stop buy...

We still don't know how de does it.

Really wish I could do that...would make Christmas shopping SOOOOO much easier. Fortunately, I was smart enough to avoid Black Friday. I'm sure I would have been trampled, stabbed, beaten and shot. And that's at the high scale stores, I don't talk about what would happen at Wal-Mart. =^-~=

"What the?! Where did you get THAT?!"
"Creative aquisition."
