Look at this comic. Think about what happened in the last arc of comics. Okay, go read them since you can't remember! Look at today's comic again. Do you see it? Do you need me to spell it out? Won't this be more complex than watching a spider learn the two-step? Haven't I asked enough questions?

If you're seeing what I think you're seeing, then you may draw *a little* comfort from the fact that this is only foreshadowing for events in the far future... but I believe you have seen something that ONLY I have known. You have seen...
Something...
Strange.
BWA HA HA HA HA HA AH AHH AHHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAA!!!

If you have to ask...
If you can't see it, Nyamaza, then I'm not going to tell you. It will show up as a plot device soon enough (and a new source for gags). Why should a ruin what will be a funny surprise to you? It's for your own good. I just wish I didn't think of it already; I enjoy a good surprise.

Well, if you've guessed what I think you've guessed, then be warned, it's gonna be a looooooooooooong time before we get to the thing that you saw. Two months at the leastest. This is more like.. far foreshadowing.
(For those of you who want to get it even at the risk of damaging future enjoyment, take a look back at "barbequeue of science" and examine word choice, particularly during the kitchen scene.)

Allan, just out of idle curiosity,
which todays strip has sparked; as it were.
Rick's always seemed pretty organic above the neck
(tho I could be wrong),
where is his recharge socket?
/me is having Saundra's foreshadowed T-shirt ideas.

His eyes they shone like the diamonds
You'd think he was queen of the land
And 'is hair hung over his shoulder
Tied up with a black velvet band.

You spoke correctly when you said that Rick is mostly organic above the neck.
While he has a number of cybernetic implants to speed up his reflexes and provide some "extra storage" for files and true photographic recall, he is largely unmodified. (For example, his reflexes are good, but they're not 8 milisecond melee combat round good.)
(A little alarming note: Volair probably has a few, too.)
As for a recharge jack, Rick would never rely on something so crude, except in an emergency.
The emergency connection actually requires opening of the front hatch for access. This panel takes about sixty seconds to open correctly because of all the artificial muscle and soft tissue in the way. Rick's body was designed to be cuddly as well as powerful. Opening the panel quickly would damage the tissue and mar his appearance, but it wouldn't damage any vital systems.
For normal recharge needs, he simply places an arm into an induction coil back at the lab, and power is transmitted by magnetically spinning a flywheel inside the arm. DC generators inside the arm turn this mechanical motion into electrical energy.
And, as stated in the comic, his gauss filters need to be recharged from time to time. (If you're looking for an explanation on this, I haven't worked it out yet. When I wrote this, I was just coming up with cool technobabble. I figure it's more like recharging a spent CO2 filter than recharging an actual battery, though.)
Just for those of you who wanted to know.

Some how, I knew, I just KNEW that was why you were asking where the recharge socket was, Hampster.
And, sorry, you've got entirely the wrong word choice, wolfy. Just keep looking at the strips for May 1, 2001 and June 7, 2002 if you're sure you want to know.
But remember, you might not WANT to know. BWA HA HA HA HA!
