Holy crap! They're up to 171 Kelvins! There are superconductors that might even be CREATING EXTRA GRAVITY!!!<P>(Of course it'd take a MIRACLE for that to do anything real.)<P>(Kind of like... Semiconductors, hmmmm?)

Only 171 Kelvin? (well, "only" would be the wrong word, that's already <i>quite</i> cold)
Weird, I thought I could recall it's already gotten lower...need to find this science magazin when I get home later (am at work right now), I think it was said in there.

Yes, the problem has been getting superconductors to do their thing at HIGHER temperatures, not lower. Many things will superconduct if you bring them close to absolute zero.<P>------------------

Yes, because most superconductors don't superconduct EXCEPT at extremely low temperatures.<P>------------------

See, NOW they make superconductors out of FREAKY WEIRD stuff, using intuition as much as insight, guesswork as much as glasswork!<P>It's all on the website. The formulas of many different kinds of superconductors, including the current reccord holder, are listed.
