Now let me get this straight? If you're an artist, you can't sell your artwork because it's ethically wrong, right?
So those people who draw the ads for companies, should give it away for free.
Or those cartoonists who make comics and book collections, should be giving them to people as gifts, correct?
And what about money? Well, they should get a real job, with manual labor right? Cause drawing requires no thinking and work, you see.
And for the people that do make a living off of their talent, they should be ashamed of themselves. Just like musicians that play for people. Cause you know, it's all play and no work.
Whoever agrees with this makes me FUCKING sick.

Josh, what the Hell prompted that? Nobody here... since when is selling artwork ethically wrong? That's just silly (actually it's stupid, but that goes without saying... so why did u need to bring it up...? Artwork is entertainment, entertainment can be sold...duh, that's why cartoonists and comic artists and musicians and singers and sports players and magicians, etc. are able to make enough money to keep themselves alive; they get paid for their talent and artwork because it is used to entertain people) What does ethics have to do with it? People buy entertainment, it's not unethical.
So since we agree, Josh, my question remains; why did u post that? Anyway, WRITE!!!
Ciao.

I agree what with Ian said.
My *_________You fill word of choice, computer teacher. would say, "You KNOW WHATS NOT ETHICAL. Buying a computer game or etc. and giving it to another person.!! Can you beleive people have nerve enough to buy a game and give it to someone."
And she doesn't know what napster is... but she also thinks it is unethical too.
The moral to this story is... I beleive ethics are based on the persons state of mind. To some people buying games and giving them to people is not unethical. Yet to others it might be the other way around. I myself have no problem in people selling art. And anyway besides all that the people must decide whether or not they wish to buy the artwork in the first place. This goes without saying. People buy those guys who the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES are named after, for outrageous prices. And then turn around and sell them.
I'm not sure what that had to do with stuff but i'm sure it fits in somewhere.
So as i must finish

I draw a lot.
It's one of my favourite hobbies. But if someone says it's 'ethically wrong' to sell it, then you really are an idiot.
It takes a long time to do a good piece of artwork, sometimes even hours. If you just gave it away, you'd either be a real nice person or plain stupid.
If there are people here who think that stuff you just said, that pisses me off so much...
