12-31-02 - cold

Post by ZOMBIE USER 7262 »

Why do I get the feeling that things are really going to be sorted out now, seeing as Twap's realized that, despite their differences, both Keer and Xe care enough for her to risk their lives to save her...

And she and Keer are currently alone while Misha goes one way and Xe the other. (And I think Xe will probably get back first...)

Another thing to keep in mind, of course, is that Gloria did these ahead of time...and she's put several pieces up on Yerf of Twap and Keer... hehehe.

Well, yes, it would complete the love triangle. However, it wouldn't necessarily solve it. Depends on what the three of them think as far as polyamorousness goes. I somehow feel that Xe is kinda poly...but I don't know about Keer... and somehow I just can't see it in Twap.

I still wanna know what Erin and Snitter are doing during all of this. :D

I don't know... I think it's not quite that... We know that Xe loves both of them, but he doesn't want to decide who he REALLY wants to be with. Up until now he's totally avoided the issue, counting on Keer's loyalty, patience, and willingness to let him be ambiguous... I don't think Keer is poly, though... I think Keer feels rather jealous of Twapa overall, and of Xe to some extent.

However, I have always felt that there WAS tension of a sexual nature between Twap and Keer, not just because of the competition for Xe, but solely between the two of them... hence Twapa kissing Keer and his reaction to it.

The question now, given that Xe's personality seems to have changed radically, is not whether they will seek comfort in each other, but whether they will fall for each other... and what that will mean for their relationship with Xe. They are both vulnerable, Twapa especially now that the person who pulled her through her darkest time has changed so much. I think they will be tempted. Love, and affection, are very, very hard to resist when you feel abandoned and alone, no matter what the source... or the consequences.

*sighs*

One thing's for sure... it'll be kind of messy. At best, They'll at least be at peace with each other over Xe... at worst... *shudder*

Would it be out of line if I said "I expected this"? Ever since I saw Gloria's name pop-up in the Nip & Tuck forum about three weeks ago with the link to Untitled I've been promising myself to give it a go. Just read through the archives last night and came to the conclusion that those two were meant to be together. Keer & Twappa seem to be hurt, broken in so many areas where the other is stronger and vice versa, but together whole. That doesn't even sound right, but it is the closest I can put to words what I saw.

hmm...well, I have the odd feeling that this post won't come to any conlusions, and mayhap rais more questions in my mind than answers exist for...but
There seems to be a waft in the air that the fact that Keer and Twap are both cold and awful comfy lookin' that Xe'll react badly to this..I think I'll be more of a..sub con..err..sub con-gah I can't spell that word!><..anyways, I don't think that he'll really amount it to much..but it'll touch something in him, wehter or not he knows it.
And I could see something between Keer and Twap...'s one of those things where even when your heart feels that it's all it wants, lingering at the bottom of your soul there's a sadness and a void...that could be said to anyone of their relationships...the only thing that I can't see is this 'love triangle' going on, or it fadeing away....I feel a taungt string of tradgity...but that might be as Im a little angsty feelin' now..cursed New Years..

Oh, and I think that Snitter's Dancin' around in her PJs with some mashmallows all happy, and Erin's pacing around in a nervous wreck...lets hope they took all the guns with them..or Erin might just try to storm the XI grounds alone...

Also-do ya think Xe'll change his name now that he's found out the 'real' Xe'?
Im not evil, just sorely underrepresented...

If they had any sense, they'd contact a certain monarch and inform him where his bodyguard's off to. Said monarch could then contact local authorities through the appropriate channels, letting them know that there is every chance that a relative of his may well be in danger, and that failure to act could well have significant diplomatic consequences.

He might change it to simply Xe, or we might learn what his original name was - but I think he wouldn't want his original name. In a way, which name he'll choose will depend on his attitude to his whole self, and the self he retained after his escape from XI - he might retain Xe, as it was the one name he had in the time when he had shut out everything from XI.

Or....

Mwahahhah

What if it doesn't get resolved. What if all our wild speculation means nothing, because this is the 'brick wall' of the comic. They keep on running into this issue, and like a wall, it remains no matter how hard they bang up against it.

Hahaha.

In real life, and Gloria says she tries to mimic real life (at least in allegory) you could run into this issue again and again, without ever seeing an end. The truth remains, that x loves y who loves z who might just be inlove with a. It sure happens to me, anyway, that things go on as normally as possible until yet again some big issue gets thrown into the ring. But it never resolves itself, we all just keep hacking at the same issues, and all we ever do is change their shape.

All for nothing? Balderdash. Everything changes, even if it is imperceptable nothing remains the same. If we take examples from real life, nothing goes to completion because everything is in motion and relationships are the one non-permanent thing which people always try to carve in stone. Two people can be together for their entire lives but their relationship will change, their will change as their feeling roil from highs to lows all throughout. There comes a point where a person will look around and say, "what if this is as good as it gets". And therein lies the reolution; not in something huge and grandiose but perhaps in something as small as a nuance.

Maybe our resolution for this part of the story in the love triangle is in that shared sense of vulnerability and abandonment both Keer and Twap will have from this moment. On all other things they may be opposites but they will have this one empathic moment. Xe will not be the same, the revelations may be more than what he can cope with or it could finally be a release for something he has had to suppress for so long.

I had a point when I started this. I swear I did! Can't remember what it was though. Well, a pox on it anyway, this is my post.
