who are we really?
is this our mother we hold?
who do we owe life?

goody..further proving that my lalegaggin' fun is always laced with deep thoughts...ah well
Maybe Twap will lead the clones to rebellion? or maybe they all have the same mindset as 207's partner? or more who aren't really sure, like 207 herself...thinking about that..how will they try to kill her, who will it be? will it be the clones? and if so, can they carry out their task unhesitently? or, like Majin Buu from the begining of that DBZ saga, do they not know they have a choice, to take or not orders? oh the conundrum....
Im not evil, just sorely underrepresented...

I have to admit, I like those two. Especially 203. She sounds like Twap on a bad day. :)

(Or, depending on if you agree with Rico, a GOOD day.) :D

I think the seed of rebellion could bloom easily within the masses of Twaps there (ick! metaphors!), considering that they're treated very badly by their creators. (Remember this strip?).
Probably the one on the other line of the phone could be a Twaps-sympathisant...maybe that's a possibility for the other folks of the cast to get out of imprisonnent?

I think the main problem is that the security types are going to be much less susceptible to the sort of persuasion that brough 51 around... and I don't mean Misha's veiled threats. I mean that 51's mental and emotional makeup was much more like Twaps... remember how she told Misha she'd thought of blowing up the old lab on her own? But the security pukes weren't made to think, they were made for enforcing.... this is going to be a tough sell. My money is still on Xe overpowering Zirrus and effecting an escape from there.... I figure Zirrus will either have some sort of passcard that Xe could use to gain access to other parts of the facility... he LOOKS a lot like Zirrus, and the CEO's ID is going to be distinctive-- no one wants to argue with someone who has a high-level clearance.

So here's my take: Zirrus is either incapacitated or killed, Xe fakes his way through security and gets the others released, or controls the situation so that they can overpower their guards at an opportune (or, with this crew, a chaotic) moment, and they run for it.... Idria is still a question mark. X-I obviously doesn't consider her valuable-- she was slated for euthanization with the others, so they're not interested in having her back. But in the heat of escape, I wonder if it would be possible for Aureus or Zirrus to offer her an incentive to prevent the escape of the others... I don't think so, but it can't be discounted entirely. I'm fairly certain she's not still working for them as a mole... X-I wanted Twapa, not the rest of the bunch(in fact, their presence is a slight complication), so it makes no sense to leave an agent behind at the site of the fire to round up anyone.

Hey! There was a greyhound down at the pub tonight whose mannerisms were almost exactly like Xe's! It was hilarious! I wish I had my camera with me!

Say, Crash! You get that email reply I sent you? I wouldn't be concerned, if it weren't for the fact that at least one email I sent out that day disappeared into the ether!

*blushes deeply, tries to type steadily* I must apologize, Tek. I let stuff back up, and then two days ago everything spiraled out of control....and today was the center of the storm..... um, as soon as I'm coherent tonight or tomorrow (and I'm guessing it'll be tomorrow before I can think straight again), I promise to write back to you. Your email did indeed come through. I had actually started to reply to it, and then I lost the draft...

Um, anyone who reads this and feels so inclined, please pray for the soul of Rev. Stephen Gillespie, and for all of us who cherish his memory and miss his companionship.

Really, I don't consider Xe to look close enough to Zirrus to pass as him. Yes, he's similar, but that's mainly because he's also a long tailed weasel. So even though your idea sounds feaseable, everything after people mistaking Xe for Zirrus is shot...

Just my thoughts on that theory.

Well, yes. My theory was based more on the fact that low-level security types are unwilling to challenge those who bear high-level security clearances, as long as it looks sort-of right, since said passholders could easily get them reprimanded/demoted/fired/eliminated (this is X-I, after all).
It's a well-known and oft-demonstrated fact in the security business that guards and security inspectors avoid questioning people who show the proper paperwork and ACT as if they have the authority they claim to be entitled to. In support of my point, consider the fact that the last state trooper to pull me over read the first name on my license as "Andrew" instead of "Edward"....
