Hmmm...
tangible...
partially metal...
partially edible...
Fondue!!!
I only tried it once, it was... a unique experience. But, then again I am a picky eater. Chunks of raw
meat, rolled in garlic and stabbed with
metal skewers and cooked in boiling oil... tangible, metal, and edible.... and -very- hot.
if not...
coat hanger toasted marshmallows?
is it found in the kitchen?
Looking back at my guesses maybe I should try again when I am not so hungry.

coat hanger toasted marshmallows? Nope! :)
is it found in the kitchen? In some people's kitchens, I imagine. Not in mine, though.
Are sporks involved? No.
Do you eat it cold? I'm sure it's more enjoyable when it's cold.
It's partially edible, BUT is it something people normally eat? They don't normally EAT it...

Is it a pair of boots?
The buckles and grommets are metal, and shoe leather is somewhat edible.

Is it the very model of a modern Major-General,
Does it have information vegetable, animal, and mineral,
Does it know the kings of England, and I quote the fights
historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical;
Is it very well acquainted, too, with matters
mathematical,
Does it understand equations, both the simple and
quadratical,
About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news,
With many cheerful facts about the square of the
hypotenuse.
(With more than a few appologies to Gilbert and Sullivan for the mangled lyric)
