Okay...Elix looks girly... but I think he still looks like a boy. :)

(And... the human weight doll is a running gag in an anime... it's not cute at all. It's just a few potato sacks that are designed to weigh as much as a human...it's for testing a home bungee set for safety. However, it sorta becomes animate and has its own personality for various sight gags. Gee, you can tell what kind of anime this is already. It's hyper-kinetic!) :D

And don't make me act like Flea. :D

Her, Eric... you're at 99 posts. :)

Who-hoo! 99.9....100 (still LT)

(potatoe bag) That's pretty much what I guessed, I've seen a number of popular anime, (with <30 eps ea) Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus, Ah my goddess... <end of line>

Who's Flea?

btw, you *do* catch the "Towel Day" reference, I assume? :)

Argh! Now I've got that Who song in my head! "I'm a Boy". Unfortunately it's trying to battle against "The Floor Show Song" from Rocky Horror. Of course, that one's trying to destroy "The Happiness Hotel Song". :o Although Spectre Eric calls me his Musical Geek.

Also not to be missed, is Last Chance to See, where Douglas was called upon to travel with a wildlife expert, visit endangered species and write about their experiences. He himself thought it strange that he, of all people, was approached for this project, but the results were excellent. He passed through several places that I had visited in the past, and his observations were exactly the same ones I made, particularly those in Indonesia...

Tek,

Nope, I've never heard of that one, though it sounds amusing. I recall watching the TV version of HHGttG, and the visual absurdity carried over nicely.

Okay.

The gag is from "Kodomo no Omocha" [Child's Toy], and the doll does in fact look humanoid...and actually it dances in a skirt with pom-poms at one point...but that's a looooong explanation.

Flea is a character from Chrono Trigger...and he looks so much like a female that your characters mistake him for one.

I don't know a specific reference to "Towel Day," but I know about towels, yes.

(Please hold...)

As for the poem...I made that up on the spot. :)

Any more questions anyone wants to ask? :D

It might be better not to ask? :)

Ah, yes, In the black tower, 600AD.

After Douglas Adams died, his birthday is called "Towel Day" in respect (in a suprisingly large number of fan circles). Coincidently it's my birthday as well.
