At least he's probably safer there than Furrsdale-on-Scathling or Capitol city.
Although the lab didn't seem to far from way Twapa was talking with reference to Misha's flight time.
Add to that the fact that when they were in a cab, it looks like Twap met Misha in Capitol as visiting Xe seemed not too far out of the way.
