What do you think is your best example of temporary stupidity? Is there any incident in your past that makes you wonder how you ever lived this long?

One time when I was young and living in Minnesota, I decided I wanted to slice an apple. I got an apple and a knife and tried to cut it. Strangely, the knife didn't cut. So I pressed harder. Frustrated, I put my hand right down on the blade and pushed with full force, but it only went in a little bit. That couldn't possibly be right, so I looked down to see what the problem was. Turns out I was holding the knife backwards the whole time. Imagine my chagrin.

Once when I was four or five I was sitting on the floor in the living room while my mom was watching tv. I had a pair of scissors and I decided to see what would happen if I used them on myself. They were rather dull scissors, but I still managed to get a pretty good cut on my knuckle after cutting steadily for a few minutes.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!???!!!" my mom screeched when she saw me. I think I shrugged and said something about wanting to see what would happen.

Also, when I was in first grade I stuck my hands in a bucket of water and then got on the monkey bars in my back yard. Water + metal = slippery surface. I fell off and broke my arm and had to wear a red cast. Red was one of my least favorite colors at the time.

Since then, I have learned the value of good common sense. Sharp objects hurt, etc. . .

I don't have to time to list my entire life.

EDIT: I take that back, getting into skating was good for me. So there's one thing I did I would consider smart (if not lucky, but I don't believe in luck. Luck is for the gullible and fool-hardy).

When I was in second grade it was story time and we were sitting on the floor, and I saw on the wall there was some gummy tack, so I started playing with it cause gummy tack was like THE coolest thing in 2nd grade. Then for some reason I put the gummy tack in my hair.
BIG mess, the teacher saw me trying to get it out and started laughing. we ended up having to cut some of my hair off.
but thats not so bad right? I mean everyone at one time or another gets gum or something in their hair. But the bad part was like a month later I did it again, only with a bigger wad of gummy tack.

Another time in Jr High, I was walking down the street with some friends and we saw a retarted kid in a truck that was parked there, and I was being kinda a jerk and was talking like I was retarted too, and I was walking backwards, and when I turned around, I ran right in to a streetlight.
Bleh, Im not fond of my Jr.high years
theres probably many more, but fortunately, I cant remember them

well, i cant post the stupidest thing i've done because its rated R and personal.
but the SECOND dumbest thing, was last year. when i was bored, tired, and grumpy in class, i tried to amuse my self by uh, writing the word "gay" in permanant ink on this kids Abercrobie shirt...
he complained, but then we got a 5 day weekend, cos of snowdays, and i never got in trouble.
but internally, i was very much punished. *shakes head*

So this one time, at band camp, Adi and I... GACK!

OK, there are three experiences tied for first place :

One time, I was outside our local health spa coming back from tennis class, and I was talking to this guy I really like. So We're walking along and I'm walkin backwards and I turn around. I knock into a pole and then fall backwards. I don't know how many of you out there know this, but tennis skirts are VERY short sometimes with built in panties underneath. So naturally, right in front of this guy, I'm laying on the ground with like a million people watching me, and he's like, "I can see your underwear, huh-huh." SO now I don't like him anymore.

I was packing for a sleepover and I couldn't find my toohbrush. I was searching all over the whole house for it and I couldn't find it anywhere. So I decided to look in my room, where all my other stuff is. I reach to open up the door and I look down. There in my hand is my toothbrush.

when I was little I had horrible car motion sickness. To keep me from barfing, my parents always got me lots of bubble gum. Well, one time I got bored, so like any other little kid, I took this HUGE wad of bubble gum out of my mouth and started playing with it. Well, this was that type of bubble gum that sticks to your hands and won't come off. SO my hands were covered in bubble gum and my mom feakedout. I had to wait 10 minutes to clean off my hands in a crowded rest stop where everyone was so rudely staring.

I can't think of many people who are fond of their jr high years. Those two years have to be some of the most miserable in exixtence.

two come to mind,

I was about grade 3-4, and I was cycling on a weekend at a nearby jr. high, and though I could "jump" off a 1m (3-foot drop), like in dukes of hazzard. Somehow I escapes with only a few scrapes, despite going over head-first.


or... about a few years later, going swimming and remembering to pack everything but swimming trunks.

I think Jr. High is latin for "Hell."

Um... wow. My whole existence is simply a compiled series of stupid mess-ups.... And with me, unfortunately, a number of them have been captured forever in the wonderful media of comics...

Oh well. Good thing God doesn't base our salvation on us getting everything right in life.

I went to a middle school that became a middle school when I got out of sixth grade. So I was only at the school for two years. As a result, I got to spend four long years at my high school.

I agree. Wholeheartedly. What an awkward age. I'm very glad it's over. Yeah. I get to move on to college now.

I wholeheartedly agree with that too.

My middle school was named Friendly Hills. It opened the year I entered 7th grade, so I only went there for two years. Two of the worst years of my life. Looking back, I'm surprised that more kids don't try shooting up their schools.

Quite possibly. Quite possibly indeed.

Our jr high used to be 2 years, but they built a new one this year so its now gonna start in 6th grade. and they're gonna go to block scheduling which I dont agree with. Imagine being stuck with the same kids all day long and not getting to see everyone else. It also will elimanate double music students like me.
But since they're building a new Jr.high they decided to remodel the Highschool and its not done yet, and we're supposed to start back on the 20th. every year the summers seem to get shorter and shorter

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I've been out of town at a funeral.

I'll be going to Westmont College. . . where I want to major in theatre, minor in art history.

Heheh...Most embarrassing moment? I have no clue....lemme think about it.
