Haha! Everyone calls me a nerd for re-reading books! But, now my mom is like: Why should I buy you books?! You read them before we get home anyways!! But, I'm not I'm not like SOME poeple *koff koff*my older brother*koff koff* who read books once and only once, then say that they hate them because they just hate reading. Now, those are the FREAKS! (haha, he's reading this over my shoulder)

Oh My Gosh! I do that too! I read all my books over and over again, and then me and my mom will finally go and get new books, and by the time we get home, I'll have like 20 more pages left in the book!

I always reread books that I like. I've read Mossflower at least 20 times, and I'm sure I'll read it again. My copy is falling apart from use.
In fact, I don't see why people read some books only once. Reading things over and over lets a person notice more things every time. And the funny parts are still funny and the sad parts still sad if they're well written.
I can quote Dave Barry in many situations. It's rather pathetic. But I reread his columns anyway. What's wrong with that?

*scuffles around sheepishly*
I don't remember anything about Lord Brocktree... I THINK I read it... wait... yeah, I'm PRETTY sure I read it, don't remember abything about it though... I dunno. I've lost interest in Redwall anymore. firstly, I don't have time to read that much anymore, secondly... I like to read more... useful things. (Not that RW isn't useful, but my reading anymore is mainly limited to educational stuff.)
Yeah. The last book I read was called "Syhthesis", and it was a very good (if slightly outdated) book about electronic music. Helped me learn how to program my synth, anyway.
Yeah. I'm a loser.

Nothin wrong with being a loser! A goober is a whole 'nother thing, but that is a different story..... And Goria, me and my friend Marika re-read our (her) Budhaist (sp?) books all of the time! We are such nerds.....
My books don't fall apart,(my mom wants them to last so my kids can read them.....whatever, it's just so that i don't screw them up, i hate book jackets, though, so it doesn't matter!)they just get stains from water and Dr. Pepper. But my Redwall and Harry Potter books stay in pretty good condition, even if they are well-worn. Has anyone here read the 'His Dark Materials' trilogy? Y'know, _The Golden Compass_ and so on? If not, I recommend them!
[This message has been edited by savethehissingcockroaches (edited 01-13-2002).]

Ooooh! His Dark Materials trilogy! Wonderful stuff! I've read the whole trilogy twice and thought it was completely awesome both times. Rarely does an author come up with such a good alternate universe that's so believeable. I thought the end of the last one was a bit tacky, though. Pullman just HAD to make it a love story...
I want a daemon. I don't know what form it would assume, though.

Okay, I've read two of the books in the series, but isn't Silver Broomstick by Silver Ravenwolf?
