Today I opened my copy of C J Cherryh's _Foreigner_ for the first time. I got it in a used book store a few months ago and have been putting off reading it up till now. I look at the title page and imagine my consternation to see that somebody has scribbled something right in the middle of the page in blue pen. Then I looked closer at what was written.
CJ Cherryh.
I have a book signed by the author! Cool!

Probably thought it was too much of a distraction.
