Sevva?
Name rings a very strong bell.
It's beginning to look like this may be from before Sah' and Sci'i had even met, in which case this is not only a prequel but an extended one. Good then, good then.

I'd say Yay for long-term projects! - I do have a liking for them - but I only read it, I don't have to write, draw and ink.quoting_mungo wrote:You will see... Eventually. When the story gets to a point which explains things.
Around my birthday or so, roughly.

I wish I remember just who I am nearmisquoting, but you are now officially Colone, the NotAHorse. Enjoy the title. (Oh, of course - the baby in Dinosaurs. That's who...)quoting_mungo wrote:I like the pace it's going in, for the most part, right now. More opportunity to draw Colone making funny faces, and all that. I love that horse (Colone: NOT A HORSE!)... Or... Whatever.

A pegasus? The Greeks' fits would pitch fits. Well, their rolling graves are probably used to it by now.quoting_mungo wrote:...
I now grieve the lack of Dinosaurs on TV. I loved that show so much. Love, love, love.
Colone would like you to know he's a pegasus, thankyouverymuch. Though he will accept being called a stud or "that gorgeous equine", as well.

Still.

Dinosaurs was in reruns for awhile on the Disney channel (which of course I don't get, with Basic cable- it's very extra) and I don't know if it's even there anymore. Excellent show, yes, and the last episode was a nose-thumber, though I'm not sure if any of them are out on DVD (I watched a videotape for the memories.)

My beliefs are firmly rooted in my recollection of the gist of my understanding of the gestalt of the overall issue, more or less, dang it!

Colone says he'll accept any flattering alternatives, to spare the poor dead people. He's being a jerk, of course, as usual.
They've started releasing a bunch of old TV shows on DVD, so maybe Dinosaurs is coming... One never knows.
The hazards of not using conventional panels. But they're a pain to draw, so, yeah. There. I love the llama and the pig far too much.

(Does the town only have the one pig, - bit of a risk to take it out of town even with Grivjon raiders on the way of course then- or is there something important, not necessarily intrinsically about the pig, but that the pig is doing, being used to do, ... Ah. There's a nice bit of suspense.)
Hrm. Now you mention it, is there a simple but also feasible way to divide the two? (When Mr. Tayler used red bars between panels - rather than within - to show that time passed forum-members started joking, I remember, about the sinister Red Bars which quickly became a forum participant itself)

They are not merely plot devices, however!
Say, without the llama, how would Sah' transport his belongings? (Considering his horse is a major fretter and would as likely as not throw the darn saddlebags.)
No simple, feasible, pretty way to divide the two, at least. I need pretty. I rather like the way things look with no real panel borders. Though for the sake of readability, I may at some point start coloring in backgrounds different colors for each "panel" or something.

Remembering a quote (and quotable) on the bus a recent morning about the very 'functional' unto ugly style of US architecture (as exemplified say in the style of buildings on, oh, say... the campus of the University, at which I work? Could be.) -- leads me to think yes- pretty is good. Pretty is not begrudged. Pretty is to be (get to the point, horsie, or the point will be gotten to you) yes, well. Must agree, must agree.Continuing a mungo a'quoting wrote: No simple, feasible, pretty way to divide the two, at least. I need pretty. I rather like the way things look with no real panel borders. Well, perhaps neither llama nor pig is a plot device but in some sense, the pair (says the incomprehensible mathematician getting back into stream) [llama, pig] is one. Yes. I think that works.
Maybe.

AAhhh.
Now they don't look like good news at all. And I wonder if they're looking for Sah', or for Sci'i, long-term-orders/bounty sort of thing (should they just happen to run into them while they take the Wandering Pig and run, that is.)

I'm fairly sure they missed the memo (about the great advantages of Grivjon rule over Tragash, now available in White Paper and more compact Leaflet versions, for reasonable prices - be the first in your region to own one) someone probably intercepted it, in fact. Probably that young spy, with designs against Grivjon and all peace-loving beings or else just meddling. We'll all find out.quoting_mungo wrote:... You mean the Grivjon army crossing territory borders into Tragash can EVER be constructed as a good thing?
I missed that memo. And so must the good people of White Sow have done.
