I am. Thank you for your concern. The strip should be updated now, if it wasn't already.
And UBB being wonky has nothing to do with your memory, that I can see.
Then again, I had so many strange semi-nightmares last night, I may well have dreamed I replied, too.

UBB? It's my sleep patterns that have been off for weeks, I fear with the question of sufficient sleep catch as catch can many days (thankfully not all.) UBB's always been wonky - independent issue (I'm glad they may eventually be replacing it.)

Very sorry to hear about the nightmares, and do hope you eventually got sufficient rest. (And that you've been enjoying your week.)

Ahhhh. "UBB wonky" <-> bulletin board lost your reply in the mails. Gotcha. (Eric goes to body shoppe, asks about memory and brain replacement for 'self. Gets an... odd look. Goes to computer store to ask about same. The body shoppe must have phoned ahead.)

I don't doubt it - I do wonder about it. (I.e. what's causing it and why now, and I hope they replace TDT soon though doing so is, granted, a lot of work.)
(There's more problems to UBB than just the file locking I mention in the other thread- serious overloading when it tries to open too many files at once, things like that. Unfortunately the KBB mailing list archives seem to have been taken down; some of these issues were discussed there, since knowing what kinds of problems came up with this board might have been helpful in building in fault tolerance (is that the term?) for the new one. I get annoyed with these bulletin boards, yes I do. Sorry 'bout the late strips lately, bad planning on my part, mostly.

I was part of a project to create an alternative to UBB for ... some time before just giving up under the pressure of other work; trying to keep the different elements just of my part of the bulletin board program separate in my mind and envisioning everything that was involved rather overwhelmed me. The sooner they switch (if they do, as they are apparently planning to do, as I certainly hope they do) to phpBB the happier I for one will be...
No problem here about the late episodes (well, as a reader I enjoy the comic too much to say blithely no problem, but you know what I mean, I hope ... things can wait...) and after all I do see the November 4 comic is now up - and not what I was expecting either. (What was I expecting... hrm. ... not for Irooz to be released again so soon... not under these circumstances - and now I wait for the next episode *g* )
-Eric Schissel

Recommendation:
if you want to see what a phpBB board in operation looks like, go here (there was another, at nightstar.net , that I liked, but it seems to be gone now alas; this one is for discussion of the comic Absurd Notions and related projects. I'm sure there are other phpBB boards on the net, likely lots, but that's the one (those were the two) I know of...)
(EDIT the first: as to the nightstar.net "zoo," and its peregrinations, see this thread - I, anyhow, certainly hope it's back up, on some server, soon; it was an interesting place.)
As to Inside the Web, I've never seen an ITW message board (does some google searching, sees references to a few but is unable to connect for various javascript reasons, sees that the boards he was looking at recently that did a fine job of making his copy of Netscape wish it were splattered over his screen were IGN boards or somesuch and not the same thing at all... ok, I'm all confused, what else is new.)

Thanks. Hopefully, all shall be well. We'll see how taxing new schedule is once it's in action... And hopefully, I get Art as my chosen class this semester. Considering that one of the three in the teaser is befurred and two aren't (unless that one is a bondmount or other animal, sentient or otherwise, but not a Paladin or other howsoever human, faerie, divine, or whathaveyou...) I'm also guessing that the Curse might have acted over a period of

Ok, it took a while, but I did eventually puzzle this one out, honest...
