Rob and Fen's running away and looking for Haven could be illustrated, I suppose, but that'd mean drawing humans.

I am writing a little something on the races in Erigineea (and its bordering countries) together. All fine there. What I was thinking of was doing something more than a subpage of it. Dad's been bugging me for a good while about getting together a graphic novel with the characters, and even as I still think it'd be pretty much in vain, I might even do one, and combine it with texts on Erigineea, its history and culture, so on, to form a small zine, mostly for my own amusement.
My thoughts on what kind of story there'd be is a reworking of the first PH storyline into something more serious, without me in it, and with Fenni and Robin's arrival in it. They were supposed to arrive in that storyline, but other things got in between.
If I can get the translations straight (oh, right) it'd be aviable in English and Swedish, the English one handlettered and the Swedish version lettered with that awful 'Centaur' font that the first year and some is done in.
Both are likely going to be aviable for purchase, if I do them, and will have exclusive illustrations. No, not text, the text is related to Erigineea as whole and I'm not going to withhold that, except perhaps the Swedish version since it's not the original language.
Of course, it's not wise to take on more work when I'm soon going to have so little time. But I have yet to be accused of wisdom, so that's okay.
Thoughts?
Feel free to tell me I'm an idiot and a moron, if that is your mind. Thank you.
------------------

Well, I like the idea...
(And "Centaur" font- thanks, didn't know that.)
Fenni & Robin's arrival only, or something of their trek to find Haven as well, with the false rumor-chasing and incidents I believe you said that involved?
(If the opening storyline of PH doesn't fill a zine and you want to risk carpal you could I suppose try to graphically render the opening chapters of OMW... don't shoot...)

Cinema 3d is a kind of modelling software, yes, focused on making models that will move afterwards. My brother made a gorgeous little thing with a dragon flying over water that took 36 hours to just render, if I remember correctly.
As for the story, the first one will be how the Curse hits Haven, and on from there. *giggle* You get human Jaqueleen. For three frames or so. I am quite satisfied with how that start turned out, and I think I will be with the continuation. Keep your eyes open for a teaser extra, some day this week or so. I think.

I've been curious whether the Curse was entirely arbitrary in its assignment of forms/species to persons, or whether there's something going on here; not perhaps as simple as there being something in some sense Raccoon-like about Wendy Blackglove (is there?), but a connection can be subtler without quite breaking altogether.
And as to teaser- interesting that. Be paying close attention.
-Eric Schissel

My brother did said dragon long ago, he lost a few important codes or something after that, so now the proggie is unusable.
I don't know for all of the characters, but a few have traits in common with the animals they've been assigned.
Gina is a Dark Unicorn because she let a Unicorn (the Goddess of Ether) down, by breaking a vow of celebacy.
Shadowrose is a panther because panthers are black, and feline grace is sooo suitable for Assassins, in my opinion.
Cathereen is an owl 'cause she's old and wise. Purely stereotypical, that.
Achira, Rel, 'Rinzo and Krizz are the same species as their soulmates, much like Sah' would have been a Shadowbird if he'd still had Ecca.
R

Very nice...
And I think it answers at least one question (or, in the event, at least one question I was having.)

Wendy doesn't always show a 'Shiny!' attitude? But, true, too few raccoons around, doesn't hurt to bring in a few more. And Wendy is a sweet one, even if she doesn't know what's best for her, or anyone else...
Congratulations on a very nice metaphor.

(Checks online dictionary... ah-hah.)
Squirrelly does not, apparently, mean quite what I thought it did. (Its actual implications, according to the dictionary, include silly and mentally-unbalanced. Two other definitions are listed - "having a flavor like that of nuts" or "having or producing nuts"- but acorns and cashews don't seem to apply to the humans to whom the word is typically applied.)
Whether silly or mentally-unbalanced are exactly the terms that come to mind in regard to Jaq ... hrm. I think I was mistaken. Which is not to compliment her, either...
-Eric Schissel

Indeed. Mentally ill-balanced is not the first thing I'd come to think of when faced with Jaq. Now, nymphomanic...
Which may or may not have connection to the reason she's retired. I dunno why she did, to be honest.

Good teaser generally; perhaps I should remember from the first arc, having reread it recently (even though the 'Zine will- you've said- be based on it rather than a reproduction), but I'm also not quite sure where that scream's coming from, for instance... And if I haven't already said so, the drawing is excellent.

Yaaay!!! 'Nother flaming topic!!! ^_^
*grynn* Very loosely based on, at that. Timeframe is likely from just before the Curse hits to when Fen and Rob have gotten installed in 'Rose's room. Yes, 'twas his first.
No need to be sorry, just 'cause he has a thing for roses... A bit touchy lately. His first room?
Considering that one of the three in the teaser is befurred and two aren't (unless that one is a bondmount or other animal, sentient or otherwise, but not a Paladin or other howsoever human, faerie, divine, or whathaveyou...) I'm also guessing that the Curse might have acted over a period of time instead of all at once.
