The massive requirement of a lot of magic is why he waited until he had enough favours to collect with the Gods before he Founded Haven. And the reason he generally tries to have someone helping him *coughShadowrosecoughcough* when he moves Haven. I have no idea how the hell he managed to get the Army to agree to let their mailraptors be used for Haven's mail, too, most likely the favours are in exchange for taking a bit of the Erigineean Border off their hands for a while.
Wendy needed to get to Haven because it was her job to go there with the nice diplomat. No particular reason, really, but as long as you're not out to hurt someone in Haven, or are acting selfishly, the Gods are generally quite generous. Apparently they thought it was selfish of Fenni to try and protect her girlfriend, since they had to chase shadows for months before finding a Paladin resident in Haven that would take them there. Gods have twisted logic.
The Assassins' Guild in Avelyon (or any other town, what that matters, but Avelyon and whatever-the-town-was-called-where-'Rose-grew-up are the only two Shadow's been in contact with) more or less collects money from its members and gives the people that hires through them certain assurances. The victim does get killed. Shadow is skilled and notorious enough to get along without the Guild, except for the tiiiny thing that the Guild wouldn't like that, and would try to kill him soon as they had a chance...
And Shadowrose's reasons for being an assassin are Very Good reasons. Don't think you know them all. Unless, of course, you managed to pick up the clues I've dropped here and there...
And Gods do NOT escape the Curse. Camael is turned into a phoenix, Imphais a Golden Dragon, 'Thrainem an Irana, wyrm I think that is in English, Uwghlock shrinks down to a 'normal', if large, fox, Keithara is a mule, or, more likely, an ass (as in the long-eared equines), Keiddi turns into rock, and I'm debating turning Arvounij of Fire into a flaming flying fish or betta...
The only one who could escape the Curse is me, and I dun wannae, so it's a moot point.
*snicker* Officially, I'm not online right now, 'cause officially, I'm writing slash.

Just curious. *g*
(And then the question of the practical effect of the difference between the frames and their histories on interchange between them. Third question, if that first group of questions could count as one which it doesn't- did anything "significant" inhabit the frame (for want of any better word I, anyhow, can think of) Haven inhabits, before Haven came to inhabit it?)

Homoerotic fanfiction, generally. Although it's not exactly fan fiction here, now is it? Which also means it, unlike most fanfic(and especially slash), can be canon...
------------------

*snicker* Who says Nequii's told him?

About the Silver Guardian? He told him something on September 27th 2001, anyway...
Reading what happened since then, I see that (as I had forgotten) Shadowrose next spoke with the diplomat (who definitely shows up more often recently than I'd thought...) (about something which Shadowrose said he would do after going on Guard), then discovered the Irooz-amber (while on Guard?)- so if I'm guessing right, whatever he was going to do for the diplomat remains undone (and unknown to me unless I seriously missed a clue, which I probably and unsurprisingly did. My guess would have something to do with healing a wound that Azyr? took in fight with Zvee... this an inference from what he says...)

Whether semiweekly, weekly, or biweekly (like Freighter Tails... ouch!), that's how it is ... can't say I won't miss the current schedule though.

Oh, according to the one webpage I could find that said anything about the matter, you're right about wyverns. I don't have any reference sources to-hand, alas.

The one Nequii talked to September 27th was Sah', not Shadowrose. 'Rose's got red hair. Which ties nicely in with the subject of human drawing. Gone from the style of the Chosen and towards a more manga-inspired style, September 29th I think it is that shows a handcolored strip with Nequii and Sah'? The strips I have pencilled for late December and next year have gone even further towards manga-style. Not purely a conscious progress, but it happened, nontheless.
Historical background matters... Well, I think it was you who saw a preview of the future dropdown, with all sub-storylines I have planned so far, not? Flashback coming up February or so. Other than that, well, I'm working on OMW 1-18, and working a bit with a race guide that is going to have brief history, as well.
Possibly, there'll be an Erigineean Legends storyline some time, as well. There has also been loose talk about a crossover with Furfire and Element's Song some time in the future when we happen to end storylines at the same time. ^_^
The diplomat has personal reasons as well as proffessional to want to go to Haven. Think I hinted something about them in the cast page.
Hopefully, I'll manage to get a few weeks ahead during my break, and then there are a lot of tiny breaks and free days next semester, and I should be able to finish a bit on the weekends. So hopefully I won't need to cut down on updates. I'd miss the current schedule as well, but sadly, grades have to go first.
*snicker* According to my book on Heraldry, The Art Of Heraldry or something like that, that's the definition of wyvern. However, according to that same book, dragons have been legless from time to time. A few more interesting tidbits in that one, such as the difference between a male gryphon and a gryphon (which also is male...).

I was planning to draw more pages of the Chosen, yes, but I never got around to. That, and I think I lost a lot in the ways of people drawing skills since I drew those first pages. So it's not likely to return, least not right now.
Something that will show up, whenever I get around to putting it in order, is an archieve page with the storyline names ordered all nicely, and with notes to them, including if they're canon or not (Kit's Karaoke Machine is NOT), approximately what year they take place (which will let me play a bit looser with time, which is a Good Thing), so on.
*snicker* Who says Nequii's told him?
The Orders are not exactly related to the kind of relation 'Rose and Zvee have, although they do ride the creature their Order is named after. As to the hair- hrm- looking at, say, Sept. 27 and Oct. 23 in juxtaposition I can see the difference, but I am partially colorblind in certain ways and it is a difficulty for me...

quote:

Yes. (Now that should have caught my attention (in Sept. 27th). Why wouldn't Zavayi...hrm.)

True, and it seems to me there's one or two thought balloons of his too that might have an interpretation down those lines, if only just slightly, as well...

quote:

(Can't quite help having flashback to Pratchett's novel "Feet of Clay" (the title as usual turning out to be something of a pun since golems figure prominently... anyway!), which has amongst other things some very amusing segments at Ankh-Morpork's College of Heraldry, but that's how it is. Sigh- now I'll be thinking of heraldic hippopotami for the rest of the morning.)

If I remember correctly, the male gryphon has fiery mane and horns, and the gryphon has wings. Think it was so, but I don't have the book right here at the moment, so I'm not sure.
I'm very deeply interested in heraldry, overall, not a lot of literature on the theory of it aviable here, so I was in seventh heaven when I found two of them in England. One of them I bought with me home. Very nice pictures, and text. Yesss.
And now I'm going to attempt get something done of the race guide.
