Adding support for FireFox 'Live Bookmark' RSS to comics

WIth the current server problems I haven't had a chance to test this out on all comic pages, but if you want to add support for FireFox Live RSS Bookmarks to your comic do the following...

In the
Code: Select all
<head></head>
code block of your index template, add the following code...

Code: Select all
<link rel="alternate" title="Your Comics Name" href="//yourcomicname.keenspace.com/rss.xml" type="application/rss+xml">

After adding and updating your pages, viewers to your comic should see the Image icon at the bottom of the FireFox browser window. THis icon allows the viewer to create a bookmark that gathers all of the links in the rss.xml file.

Like I said, I haven't tested this out with the Keenspace RSS.xml file, but a good example can be seen at http://www.macnn.com. All of MacNN's news for the day is displayed in the live bookmark that is created.

Have fun.

Ooo. Thanks for that. We need this in the new template/s too.

That should be either:
Code: Select all
<link rel="alternate" title="Your Comics Name" href="/rss.xml" type="application/rss+xml">

or
Code: Select all
<link rel="alternate" title="Your Comics Name" href="http://yourcomicname.keenspace.com/rss.xml" type="application/rss+xml">

I don't think it'll work the way you posted it.

The code I posted is identical to the Macnn.com code, so it "should" work (since their's works).

Case in point: Sam and Eli has this:
Code: Select all
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="http://sameliadv.keenspace.com/rss.xml" />
And it worked in my firefox browser.
