color compatibility

Postby Smorris on Thu Nov 11, 2004 2:51 am

So a couple of my colored comics sometimes end up looking kind of grainy in IE6. However, if I load them off my hard drive they look OK, and if I load them in Opera 5 they're fine too. I wondered if anyone had any idea why this might be? The ones I'm having trouble with are this one: where the gradients are sometimes not smooth at all, and this one: which just ends up looking kind of low-quality. Since they work OK usually, it seems like its not a Photoshop problem, is it?

I'm using IE6 with windows xp and those two images look fine. There may be some settings within the program on your computer, but they're smooth on mine.

I've noticed that before and I'm not sure why it happens, but I think it may be to do with your computer's colour settings. Try 32 bit colour (True Colour)
