What's wrong with plot, man? I LIKE storyline along with my spooge, myself... it can't be all yiff, all the time, that'd get boring!

In the nine and a half years I've been doing the comic I've learned one really unbreakable rule: you can't please everyone. I outrage a small percentage of people who stumble on my site and are "disgusted" by the "filth", and I disappoint a small percentage of readers who want "more fucking". But I make the largest percentage of readers happy by sucessfully telling a story with characters that they want to read about. So all I can say is: if you want just lots of orgies, you'll either have to look elsewhere or wait until this big story is over. I'm going to be aiming for shorter, busier stories later on once I've laid the groundwork with this one.

...PG?

I seriously don't mean any disrespect, but...

Are you kidding me?

I've never seen a PG comic with (like today) full, dripping visible insertion closeups. Just sayin.'

I'm only disappointed with one aspect of this strip, and I think you can forgive me for it, seeing as it's really beyond your control, thanks to RL concerns, but.... I'm only disappointed that it's less frequent than it used to be. Plot has never been a bother- I like story, not just sex. :) (Hell, I have been enjoying reading Elf Sternberg's "Journal Entries" for 16 years now, and now I happily read the entire archive on my iPod touch... :) Sometimes, I think Elf feels he has to write in the sex, as if expected, though I think he shouldn't if it's not necessary- There's plenty of sex throughout the 330+ stories so far, but... Oh, nevermind- I'm meandering yet again...)

Hi there....I've finally worked my way through the webcomic, so now, I'm on here after just a few hours of lurking(I try not to do that too much, unless I just absolutely do not have anything to say).
I'll have to admit....I came here from Jack, not because Jack had lost it's appeal, but because I wanted some "furry porn" to lighten things up. I certainly got what I wanted on that end, but at the same time, I also got wrapped up in the storyline, which is not Pride And Prejudice....but that's not a bad thing either. It's a well developed plot with well done art and...yiffing.... :D

I can understand the OP may want to see more of what he/she came to see, but that's not the way things work in a story....even Lady Chatterly's Lover had some plot. The whole "It's gone PG" thing is way more than a stretch though....go back a few pages from the most current one and you will see a fourway double penetration.....I'm pretty sure I didn't see that in the last Transformers movie....and if I missed it....SOMEONE GET ME THAT VERSION.... XD

Anyway.....need to get ready for work....just wanted to say that Kit and Kayboodle has become one of my favorite reads in a while....I myself am not a furry in the truest sense, but the wife and I both enjoy cartoon depictions of sex, and the furry genre is one of the more entertaining types we have found...

Now that brought me out of my lurking status...

I'm with Seth on this one, the plot is going nicely and I'm liking it.

As much as like erotic artwork the comic can't be ALL yiffing ALL THE TIME. So if you're losing interest...sorry...but no one's forcing you to keep following the comic.

Well, I just registered because something has been irritating me for a long time and I need to get it off my back.

This current story arc presents only the 2nd /3rd gay character ever presented in Kit n Kay. The 1st/2nd, depending upon if you wish to split them up, was a gay couple with only a cameo appearance.

So, therefore, this is the FIRST gay reoccurring character of any significance.

YET...!!...this ONLY gay character of significance in Kit n Kay ALSO happens to be presented as one of the most EVIL, CALCULATING and SELFISH characters EVER introduced in Kit n Kay. An on-screen killing has only been shown ONCE before on Kit n Kay before...and, yet, only the second on-screen killing/murder plot was saved for the FIRST GAY CHARACTER to accomplish.

The prior host for Karostropov was shown as "weak" and actually desiring to separate from Karostropov; the prior host to that actually apologizes to the would-be victim of Karostropov and, therefore, indirectly expresses a wish to also be rid of the influence. Not only that, the first host therefore does not actually do the killing - the Karostropov entity does! The host body stands by and watched. This host, Skamm, not only openly seeks Karostropov's power but attempted murder himself prior to being under Karostropov's influence

NOTE that last weeks/this weeks panel, the group scene in the Copulation Club, does NOT show ANY gay couple silhouettes in the background. EVERY couple shown in Kit n Kay - NOT going against Kit n' Kay's agenda - has been shown as STRAIGHT. Not a SINGLE gay OR lesbian couple - ever since the cameo appearance - has been shown in a GOOD light...yet one of the worst characters ever introduced is GAY??!

What exactly are your meanings with the methods you have used to present your characterizations? It's about time you have answered this question considering what the panels of your artwork have spoken for. RE: Why was your only and first reoccurring gay character given the "honor" of being the most "evil" / vicious on-screen persona yet? WHY is this arc being drawn out in a way that does NOT present any ALTERNATIVE "good" characterizations towards gay/lesbian characters, so that we must not only stand by and be delayed for an answer to if/how this gay character may/might redeem himself but also that ONLY straight couples are shown as standing for "good" and "justice"?

In other words, WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS.

I have to say this.

I have not seen a comic like this one in my life time. I have read it, cover to last page posted in less than a month (i have a lot of free time lately) and I can tell you. Its damn near perfect. Plot is wonderful, the yiff is nice but it doesnt have to take center stage at all times. Otherwise it just turns the comic into a porno with little to no reading value. I enjoy this piece. Its my fav so far and has inspired several events in my own writings.

Dont let people drag it down man. You keep at it. This is your work. and you breath the life into it.

This isn't intended to negate your point, but I think that's a gay couple in the background. The one doing the reach around.

My intentions are to tell a story. Your intentions, after taking a cold shower, should be to either learn to do a decent job of trolling or go and scream elswhere. You have said nothing even remotely relevant, and not all the underlined and/or boldface type changes that. The first and most prominent gay couple in my comic is Squinx and Snowicet, and far from having only a cameo they've had their own story http://kitnkayboodle.comicgenesis.com/d/20050830.html and since you don't have the sense to see it yourself, I'll have to tell you they're pretty much like every other couple in Yiffburg. Their own quirks, their own foibles, but a couple for all that - and an affectionate one at that. Not surprisingly, you've clearly missed the fact that the bulk of the story has been about the redemtion of all the members of the legal firm Hokumm, Fleecer, Bunko and Skamm and that none of them have been portrayed as shining, unblemished paragons of right and justice. Bunko considered himself just as bad as Skamm and thought himself just as responsible for Bill Blaine's death. No alternative positive lesbian images? Bill Blaine spent his entire visit in the company of two charming and affectionate ladies who enjoyed each other erotically just as much as Bill, guess that escaped you too?

Must have. You have it fixed in your mind that the one prominent gay character is evil and I'm expected to answer for my intentions. My answer is: since you haven't really been reading the comic, you won't miss it if you stop.

If that's what you call an "epic comeback" it's no WONDER that you're still in college... Come back once you graduate...the adults will still be here.

Now. Mr. Katellis, I totally forgot about the story arc that you mention here so that is a point well taken. Still...I forgot about it because I (personally) saw Dee as the 'star', not Squinx and Snowicet. Most of that arc is dealing with her questions, her perspective on life and sexuality, with Squinx and Snowicet just acting as 'teachers' in that situation.

And, therefore, you missed the point entirely. You yourself note that you willingly write "positive lesbian images" - that seems to fit into common sexual patterns. A straight man [very easily] getting in the middle of a lesbian couple. Oh, BIG surprise!! It's (almost) every straight man's fantasy, so having it seen here is so predictable that we shouldn't even be the least excited. Log on to XTube, Tube8, PornoTube - or just about any other web porn video site - and get 2000-eyefulls of such stereotypical porno trope.

The fact that I waited a long time during this particular arc and in this particular forum thread to post this question is telling. This forum thread proves that some people consider this story arc BORING. It has been drawn out entirely too long for some point, a point which simply seems to be of a different 'feel' than all the other arc in Kit n Kay combined.

My point is, why is THIS drawn out and boring arc the one that contains the most plotting, evil characters...and why is it the only one with a gay heavy? Why is this gay heavy the ONLY one who does not switch to the "right" side? Isn't that convenient of you, to save the ONLY dark, evil character of this entire story to be only one of the very few gay characters portrayed in your stories?

And please, don't even try to pander to me like you did in your previous post in an attempt to dismiss the discussion. In total, you have proven you have 5 repeating gay characters and not many more gay figures, as cameos, shown.

Five reoccurring characters, in 10 years and 3 months worth of cartooning.

So the ratio of gay-to-straight is, statistically quite provably, very low. Yet...why was this one character, the only one not to change sides, the one to kill and plot, the one to most aggressively seek the power of evil...made gay? Strange, how those statistics say something that your previous reply attempts to deny.

My point, and therefore the point, of my discussion is WHY did you choose to make THIS character gay? Get to a REAL answer and don't try to deflect the question by an attempted redirection back to ME. Redirection is an attempt to not answer a question by posting a question.

This question is about YOU. Many character and character traits to choose from, so many personalities shown in Kit n Kay over the past decade…statistically low positive gay characters shown…and yet, here we are, with a gay heavy.

We've had so few true 'heavies' in Kit n Kay but yet a gay heavy is here, now. Strange, how that works out - a complete upset of the statistics if we bother to compare positive hetero/negative hetero to positive gay/negative gay. 5 gay/1 heavy, to exactly how many others??

Just because you don't want to bother to check yourself and your own positive/negative characterization ratios does not mean that this ratio does not exist.

You see, contrary to what you might think, I've been reading Kit n Kay for years. Yes, I am gay but, yet, I read. Never before has the dearth of gay characters really bothered me – "This is Kat's universe", I would tell myself, and it is what it is. Being in a male/female relationship yourself you wanted to tell stories from that perspective. And, of course, you 1000% have that right, it's your strip. I read it 'anyway', for I wanted to keep up with your character's…exploits :p

But this story arc took an unexpected twist. It seemed, for the past 10 years, that gay characters took a decided back seat to the main characterization's actions. Again, that is completely within your right. Yet you introduced a gay character…and, somehow, either consciously or subconsciously, made it a point to make the only gay character staying gay (not "soft gay" like the 2 ladies) the heavy. This story arc introduces at least 11 characters but the main "heavy" is the gay one. That does indeed stick to statistical premise of "1 in 10" of the main population but I simply mean to ask "Why?" when it came to making the true heavy the gay one??

I'm an not trying to insult but it is simply an honest question.
