Well, when given a choice between the red and blue pill, I hold out for a cheeseburger....

I too love the expressions in this one. (Dee's expression almost reminds me of Commander Kitty's frequent expression of barely contained rage.)

Their personalities are interacting in quite an interesting way, really.

Wow. Just wow. :o

Never thought I'd see the day. Seriously. Squinx's expression is about the same one I am wearing in response to Dee's actions.

Now I need to find a way to speed up time and look at the next update ><;;; Good on ya Kat!

Man, if you find it let me know! Dee Muir and Vic Timm (I still get
a hoot outa those names!) actually becoming better adjusted citizens of
Yiffburg and willing to acknowledge their own feelings instead of repressing
them? O_O

When Kat said the story was about misconceptions, I thought he was talking
only about boinkberries, not about people! Way to smack some sense
into me, Mr. K! >_O

Yeah, this already has quite a few surprises.

You know, I gotta say that Dee's expression of disappointment on the left side is moving for some reason. I am not sure why. Maybe I like it when people are able to reconsider things sometimes. I am not sure.

This is definitely one of many interesting Kit n Kay arcs!

Sep 6 was great!

...But it still doesn't answer the question of why Squinx took a pink one.

With as much as has already been revealed in the comic, I'm sure our
esteeemed cat-toonist won't be long in providing the answer to that
question!

Oh, I know why.. it's because Kat, like yourself, Seth, and all good
artists, know how to make their creations live within the reader's minds.
Like Daz, I thought this one was going to be about boinkberries, and to
have Dee's epiphany played out before our eyes is both surprising and
touching. This story and the one preceeding it seems to be taking the
Kit & Kay universe full circle, all the way back to the discovery of the
big boinkberries and the purpose for which the "gods of yiff" gifted them
upon Yiffburg. I have a feeling Kat wanted to do this one right now before
the revelation that's coming when the foxies take center stage again. He's
got a story to tell as big as the boinkberries themselves!

Oy... I've been trying to avoid using that pun, even though I, er, *ahem* happen to like really bad puns... I just didn't want the artistic kitty to be chasing after two mice- for entirely different reasons! :D

I sincerely doubt "Cat-toonist" would get you in trouble with an artist
who's done as many puns as Kat has. ^_^ (You have a forum, Amy?)

Actually, I think Gene Catlow's done more pun-ishment than KatEllis... :)

And yes- See that "WWW" icon right below? That'll take you there.

...fascinating. If boinkberries were JUST a mild aphrodesiac/contraceptive... there'd be little difference between taking them and not taking them.

So why do you have to build up to a cosmic berry? Something is odd, here, and I hope it gets explained.

Think of it like asprine. When you're a kid, your parents don't want you taking adult strength asprine. They ever cut in in half or quarters, or get you the kiddy kind.

Basicaly, if you've never had the berries at all... then starting out on the big ones is kinda dangerous.

Let's just say the effect, if you're not used to it, is like dynamite in the brain. :)

Big Boinkberries, I believe, are PanGalactic Gargleblasters for the sex drive!

There is one thing that does sort of concern me: The folks of Yiffberg don't have a problem with, well, more restrained folks, right? If a couple prefers to be monogomists, or not have sex in public, or even wear clothes, then wouldn't be the subject of scorn, right? If I remember correctly, the situation with Vic Timm and Dee Muir is that they have been judgemental and perhaps a bit hypocritical (though it appears that may be changing. Have I got it right?

Hah, and with style much like my own, Squinx delivers a quoteworthy line!

I have heard of putting the cart before the horse, but taking a big one before she had even taken one at all? Nope. Not likely.

Anyway, I can't wait to see the next one Kat, hopefully soon getting an explanation of why Squinx is eating the big pink one.

...

What I said there is oddly suggestive, but since its about a gay male, its also less funny. Darn

You assume she (and Vic) haven't been chewin' on the little boinkberries. Heck, they're the type to get snobbish over boinkberry wines.

They seem to have not... consitering she had a history of condeming the use of Boinkberries, and now wants to learn about them

And Squinx had said that they can't just go splashing in the deep end without learning in the shallow end. ANd Dee did admitt that they hadn't taken *any* boinkberries at all.

So it's not assuming really.

Dee gives the impression of someone vulnerable (almost pitifully so,
in a way - this being Yiffburg) because of her fully admitted lack of
knowledge. She may have known about the ordinary boinkberries,
true enough... but, as she said, the latest buzz around town is about
the larger version. And that's been enough to not only overwhelm her
prejudice, it's made the big ones The One To Try. I mean, if it'd been
computers that Dee had been sort of a "Luddite" about, and then after
seeing how useful they could be she changed her mind, she wouldn't
want a slow 386 or a Quadra. She'd want the one she'd heard so much
about, naturally. :)
