The Phoenix

Readers of My Nivlek comic probably already know about my Phoenix character. There are pics of her in the Nivlek gallery but you'll have a hard time getting them all there. Check the VCL soon if you want to see them all.

Anyway, I think she would make a great villian for Kit and Kay to deal with. Her nature is to kidnap sex slaves. She is impulsive and compulsive and with a mood that swings on a dime. Don't forget, she's also sex obsessed and impossible to kill permanently. I'm sure she could fit right into Kit N Kay Bootle. Well, I'd sure like to see how Rich would draw her.[/url]

Also, I would like to note that she is kind of a parody of the Phoenix from the manga of the same name. It's widely considdered to be Tezuka's greatest work and I just love reading it.

You know, having Kit and Kay encounter Phleona would just be the pinnacle of bizarreness. So much comic possibility in my opinion.

I had a feeling you had read Tezuka's Phoenix. Personally, I really like the little Kelvin plushie that Nivlek was carrying in the first page of your new story :)

Oooh, the day Space Firebird gets out on DVD in the US........ One of the few anime I have ever liked. (And yes, I like Tezuka's Hinotori manga... A masterful tale of the Human Condition- both the worst and best- through the ages.)

(Not an anime/manga fan like many in furry, but I do like certain manga & anime. Being able to understand a little bit of Japanese helps.)

I'm still waiting to see if Rich likes the idea of adding her to his comic later. I really see lots of possibility.

Personally, I never thought to ask about being in any strip- I certainly don't think myself as Yiffburg material. Doesn't mean I wouldn't be flattered by it, but I just don't see asking. Maybe I don't need to be in one.

But that's just me.

That idea has quite a bit of potential! The first time I saw Phoenix, she
reminded me of the avian female I indroduecd in this story, Belle. I
had the impression she might try to steal Belle's lover, Bozzy, and that
Kit & Kay would have to rescue him while Belle wen after Phoenix.

She might be more interested in the zebra. Remember, she had a harem of male horses. She likes big genetalia but she also likes rare semen from rare animals, hence the interest in Nivlek.

But really, she'll do it with almost anybody I think.

Well, she'd have more than she could handle with Myers! He's got a lot of stamina (he has to have, being a reporter)

Thanks for the pic! Don't worry, she can handle him. She's been doing this for thousands of years you know. Is it ok to add this to the Nivlek gallery?

Are you going to have a mirror for your gallery too? Your mirror site for your comic sure comes in handy! :)

That mirror is only for browsing the comic. The rest of the page is on the main site and the main site will always have the new strips first. You can always buy the CD though. If you really want all the pics and strips up to a certian point they will be on it. but now this is turning into spam so...forget I ever said that.

Oh, it's not spam if it answers the question I asked. I will definitely be
looking at getting the CD, of course. (You're having a lot of fun with ol' Phoenix, aren't you? ^_^)

Actually, I think my other CDs are better in terms of Number of strips and extras on the disk but then, those were comics I already had drawn lots of material for. Heck, you can even see my old Hell's Leftovers comics from around 1995-1997 on the Kitty Omega CDs and the Macropodia CD has every part of the story. The Nivlek strip is close to a year old now. It's still pretty new but I've seen alot of webcomics that don't even last this long.

Oh yeah, a Nivlek comic for Wild Kingdom is in the works. I won't tell it all here but I can tell you that it fills in more of the Captive Breeder story (strips 11-15). I'll call this story, Do the Zoo, which is an actual slogan used at a zoo I visited! I wonder if they noticed the possible double meaning.

Does anybody here prefer bad girls like the phoenix? I don't personally but I find it makes a story more interesting at times.

Liking bad girls only causes you trouble.
