Questions about Yiffberg and the rest

Post by Bahamut Dragons »

1st: In what country is it?
2nd: What do the citizens think of humans?
3rd: Do some humans live in the city and act as the furries?
4th: Is there anything taboo at all? Incest, pedo, bondage, etc.
5th: What is Kit (and/or Kay's) job and what is the currancy?
6th: Are there homosexuals in the city?
7th: What are the schools like? What subjects are presented?
8th: What is the point of view of parents towards their children. Obviously, they don't hide them from sex, but do they encouragement or something? What age would be normal for first relations?
9th: Do some people just have sex with others on the street, freely even though they don't know
10th: Uh, I have no idea for now.

Food for thought!

Good questions! It would lead to a maybe tangential question of mine... do students from other towns go to Yiffburg for Spring Break and "let loose?" I would imagine Yiffburg would get a good deal of tourism!

I'm not sure.. sort of holding that bit of info in reserve, in case
I do more crossovers with other artists, like in the boinkberry
story.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 2nd: What do the citizens think of humans?
They're just one more species to them.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 3rd: Do some humans live in the city and act as the furries?
Probably! The trouble is, I'm not that good at drawing humans.
But look at my comic with SilverCougar... :)
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 4th: Is there anything taboo at all? Incest, pedo, bondage, etc.
Pedophilia is OUT. Incest, while not unheard of, is not acceptable if anyone
involved is really that closely related. Just about anything else between
consenting adults is pretty much okay.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 5th: What is Kit (and/or Kay's) job and what is the currancy?
They are stage actors and performers. :) You'll see in an upcoming
comic.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 6th: Are there homosexuals in the city?
I think so... not sure yet.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 7th: What are the schools like? What subjects are presented?
Schools are very much like the rural schools used to be, like the 'little
red schoolhouse' era.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 8th: What is the point of view of parents towards their children. Obviously, they don't hide them from sex, but do they encouragement or something? What age would be normal for first relations?
There is practically no real need to encourage anything... sexuality is
natural and therefore it explains itself. Much as things used to be before
sexuality became one of those things that had to be "hidden". The age at
which children begin normally experimenting with such things varies from
child to child. Whenever it is, there is no reason for them to feel anything
other than it being normal.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 9th: Do some people just have sex with others on the street, freely even though they don't know
If the strangers are receptive, then yes. If not, then no.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: 10th: Uh, I have no idea for now.
I'll be here, when you have one. :)

Well, yes it could... but keep in mind, being in Yiffburg means not only
being able to yiff, but in public! Lots of folks would balk at that part of
it... once they thought about it!

Also, there's the fact that despite their reknowned sexual enlightenment, I doubt they'd be any more tolerant of roving bands of drunken collage students than any other "Resort town", and quite probably even less so. After all, "Sexually Enlightened" doesn't equal "Decadent" as many may think. I think alot of fratlings would be surprised when they stagger out of a bar and get thrown into the drunk-tank for public intoxication and disturbing the peace.

They would, indeed - and there is the added factor of having
it widely known that their misdeeds occured in Yiffburg. Being
tossed into detox is bad enough, but when your folks have to
come to Yiffburg to bail you out...

I think there should be some homosexuals in Yiffburg. The town would require sexual diversity in order to work. Of course you don't have to draw them if you don't want to.

As I said, I think it is there... and what I meant by referrring to
it as something that I *think* is there, is this: If Yiffburg really is
as comfortable with yiffing as it makes itself out to be, then it
is probable that a unique and separate designation for the
citizens who had homoerotic feelings wouldn't exist. Why would
Yiffburg put such a label on such activity? It would probably be
something that would be referred to in the context of the rest
of the world, but meaningless as far as Yiffburg itself was
concerned.

I'd like to ask what kind of laws they have to prevent rape or other such sex crimes.

They have the lowest rate of such crimes in the first place,
thanks to the fact that there is so little repression of normal
desires that are the basis for so many sex crimes. As for what
types of punishments there would be for those few offenders
they do have, I will simply say that the example of the lion
statues outside City Hall, that have a life of their own that
few seem to be aware exists, are *not* the only example
of that type of being in Yiffburg. And they can be a very
effective form of justice enforcement. But that's for another
story...

Well, it sounds like a very convincing way to prevent crime, although so is death sentance and it doesn't prevent it completely. I hope to hear more about Yiffberg in the future, not that I don't like learning about the "Gods of Yiff", but it's just nice to see all the environment around the characters, what is their regular everyday lives.

Oh, I got a question or three:
Does the city have any sports team (what sports?)
What is the city's motto?
What are Kit and Kay's historical background, their families and such? Do they have bros and sis?

Yes, I will try to give more of the background of Yiffburg in the
future. :)
Bahamut Dragons wrote: Oh, I got a question or three:

There was at one time an inter-city YiffTrack league, but it
gradually dissipated because of outside moral pressure.
From time to time there have been efforts to start it up
again... perhaps eventually they will be sucessful.
Bahamut Dragons wrote: What is the city's motto?
For a while it was known as "The Yiffiest Place on Earth", but
the similarity of the phrase rankled a certain world-wide
entertainment conglomerate which shall remain nameless...
