Umm - I think Kat just explained that... the question is, if.Fruvous wrote:If it makes people more horny and doesn't provide birth control, I think a huge rise in unwanted pregnancies is inevitable, and this seems like a bad outcome to me.
This won't be just another variation on the already-existing theme
of boinkberries, for their world. If the existance of boinkberries
in their present state (1) makes people horny, and (2) DOES
provide birth control, then that's already a pretty solidly
established fact. If they are mindful enough of such existing
prevention, it doesn't seem likely that they will abandon it just
because of a new type of boinkberry experience. The real question
will be... is this the kind of experience that will ONLY just make
people more horny? Or will it lead to something else, something
that the citizens of Yiffburg already know (and are often ostracized
for by the rest of the world)? Will they be ready for sexuality as
a conciousness-elevating experience? If they are, then with such
heightened awareness there should be not more unwanted and
thoughtless behavior, but less. And if they aren't, then big
boinkberry wine will be met with fear, not acceptance. There are
a LOT of potential factors in the offing, not necessarily just "more
horniness" alone.
