It is a sort of a dirty trick--not quite as gentle as Kit and Kay's gentle deceptions. Basically, he has the advantage of knowing the chink in Skamm's armor, so to speak, and he's going to throw three hundred pounds of solid muscle at it. He's exploiting one of his most carefully guarded secrets. Of course, I don't think anyone is going to deny it being justified...or that Skamm doesn't have it coming.

The aim is to knock him off his pedestal, not bring him down. For someone willing to commit murder, he's getting off lightly, to say the least.

Still...I think we've just been granted a little insight into why Bunko was/is such an effective lawyer. Love it.

Bunko will still be a lawyer, just as Angela will continue to work for Quik Air. They're going to be liasons for Yiffburg to the outside world, much the same way as Kit and Kay are.

And yes, it's one of those eternal moral dilemmas that everyone has to go through at one time or another... does doing wrong in the name of right make the wrong any less wrong? It's a deception any way you look at it, but if Skamm does sucessfully become Karostropov's replacement, the world is in for some ugly times. Mitchell was a schemer, old and tired but still willing. Skamm is young, mean, ambitious and ruthless. Bunko knows that, and so he hasn't much choice.
