I just saw the seminal white rap movie, Vanilla Ice's "Cool as Ice" over the weekend. Lordy, was it bad. Not even the "so bad it's good" sort of bad. It was just plain bad. Although it was somewhat worth it just for this exchange:
Girl: So where are you from?
Girl: That doesn't tell me much.
Ice: Don't it?
Ice: As I see it, it don't matter where you're from, so much as where you are. And right now I'm here. With you.
The commercials for this film were totally misleading. They implied that Ice was going to really shake up this square little podunk town with his big city white rapper ways! But all he did was woo this one chick and steal her organizer. That's it. That's the whole movie.
