Okay, this is seriously pissing me off, to the point that it's 1:30 am, I'm not doing anything, but I don't want to go to sleep because, if I do, I'll wake up and it'll be tomorrow.

I had it all planned out, all my assignments completed so that I could skip town at 3 and head on up to Davis to see my main squeeze. And then my professor sent out an email telling me that I have to go and report on some damn public pool shutting down over the weekend.

Journalism sucks. This is not a good sign that I've only been doing it a week and I already hate it. Oh, well. Cartoonings the life for me, anyway. Sorry, I had to vent. Oh, and I haven't had any time to draw any new comics, so it looks like the guest comics should start showing up fairly soon. A grat big thank you to all the wonderful people who contributed! Oh, and while you're at it, why not check out my sanguinic links page? Well, Cartooning is nice, but getting "Main-squeezed" is the life for me! <wink>

I thought ALL public schools shut down on weekends. Ha? Um... anyhow, I don't know if this is allowed for this project but Adam would do stories like this on the phone from his office. Or you maybe should go there and snoop around. Check the basement. At night. Alone. You might find yourself wrapped up in an even more suspenseful mystery. Or... just make something up!

Yeah, I ended up doing most of the work on the phone...with my brand spanking shiny new cellphone that I got specifically so that people could call me for interviews and I wouldn't have to sit at home all day! Hooray for me! Course I didn't read the fine print in the cellphone contract cause I'm an idiot and fine print bores me. If they try to hold me to it, I'll mumble somethng about how form contracts aren't legally binding or something. Yeah, that first year contracts course is good for something.

Anyhoo, wasn't able to actually get a hold of anyone, and it doesn't look like government pool employees work over the weekend, so I bailed and ran away to see my chickadee anyway. So all that bellyaching was really over nothing. Thanks for all the sympathy, guys, especially since I'm sure you must have been secretly rolling your eyes:) "Oh, he's got to work on a Friday? Boo freakin' hoo."

Oh, I think I'm good with guest strips but if you feel like making some, I certainly wouldn't object. And I'd be sure to post them together with a big fat link to your page (Can't give you sanguinic page links, though, since you're both already on there!) But you'd get my hearty thanks!

Heh, I did sympathize with you, it always sucks having plans canceled. I'm glad to hear you got to see her anyhow, though. I'd have more sympathy, but I'm working tonight. Like I work every Friday night. I got in at 9PM, I'll get out Saturday morning at 5 AM, sleep a bit, get up at noon for a friggin bridal shower (just kidding, should be fun), head to work again starting at 9PM, get out at 5AM, get home at 6 AM Sunday....

And on Monday at 6AM I'll have to go to work at my second job even though it feels like bed time, not wakey time.

But anyhow, I'll be getting more stuff off to you soon!

I'll e-mail you at some point answering your question, too, but, um, later...so very tired....did I mention I worked yesterday 7AM to 3PM?

After reading that, I really have no right to complain. Geez, I forget that some people actually do real work! Me, I whine a lot, write papers, and live off of government loans. So it's not too bad.

And have fun at the bridal shower! Even if it's not in Hawaii and no ninjas or paper tigers show up...
