In this post we're going to go to babelfish, and we're going to
1) Write something simple in english. I have chosen this sentence:
Hi, my name is Tony. I am a junior in college. My major is english. I have a friend. His name is Nate. He is very bad.
2) Now, we're going to ask Babelfish to translate this phrase into japanese. Since I don't have that font installed, all I get are a bunch of little squares.
3) Copy the result into your clipboard. That's Ctl-V for you idiots.
4) Ask Babelfish to translate the stuff you just picked up back into english. You should come out with something that is only a little less mangled than a toddler in a dog pen. I got this:
Today, as for my name it is the Tony. I am the junior of the university. My major student is English. There is a friend in me. That name is the Nate. He is bad very.
Yep, that's right. A couple of simple sentences, properly mistranslated, and I am a cannabalistic college professor! And Nate tastes bad!
Now, you too can speak engrish!
Here's the link: http://babelfish.altavista.com/
