I used it as an example because it has 10 animated gifs on the main page, not counting the ad banner, which takes my 733 at work a long time to load, and even after it's loaded, it still runs really slow. True, the graphics are small, but there are a lot of them blinking and scrolling and flying about simultaneously. I remember a conversation where someone said we should aim for <120kB on the main page, and <70kB on the archives, just as a general rule of thumb. Following those guidelines, four.keenspace.com is a bit over the limit.And I know it's not the worst one out there, but like they say, "There's no such thing as bad publicity." I'd rather send you guys hits than someone else who has a really large page but draws a comic I don't particularly enjoy.Don't take it personally, there's no malicious intent or anything. If anything, I left it deliberately vague so people would be curious as to what you had done at that page, and go there on their own.As for all the bandwidth charges, the crusades to get people to use pngs, that kind of stuff, I figure I'd rather just go with the flow than fight it, even if it doesn't directly affect (effect?) me right now. It always could in the future, right?So that's where I'm coming from. is there a reason you're ragging at us (the FTT) on your site?you are aware that the Keenspot bandwidth problem has practically nothing to do with Keenspace, right?All of the Keenspace comics combined only make up apx. 10% of the total Keenspot bandwith usage...besides, the FTT site is pretty low on graphics compared to some others, so i'm not quite sure what your beef is...?it certainly would be nice to know what your slant is on this, anywho; no one likes to be used as a "bad example" out of the blue, with no explanation or prior discussion...just curious... ------------------
