How are you doing the backgrounds in the latest two comics?

The backgrounds of the two from Tag n' Out? Basically I used one of the image search engines (does Google have one?) looking for 'French street'. Which got me about 10,000 Mardi Gras pictures. When I found ones that would work, I made the characters a layer in front, added a drop shadow around them, then slipped the background photo in behind them. I think one was a Pastel filter and the other one Oil Painting, but that gave them the faded look. Then Merge Mask and you're done.

Oh, and yeah, I like this new Bulletin Board software better. Once Keen is a little more organized they'll put my forum logo up there. We lost a few messages in the move, but I'm just happy everything made it over mostly okay.
