In reguards to a Neoranger Movie.

An actual movie may be closer than you think.

Now. Keep in mind that there is no way in living hell the Neoranger story told in FOGClub will EVER become a thing of reality.

But that doesn't mean I'm limited to THAT story, does it?

Some recent flashes of inspiration have come to me, and I have realized it is well within my power to make a live-action sentai film and, surprise surprise, make it GOOD.

Feel free to speculate, and as soon as I flesh things out a bit concept wise. I'll give you all an update.

not the spandex, that one I can sahake off, but the Neoranger movie... *twitch* a good way for me to spend my paycheck, having actually gotten a ligit version of photoshop now... (and it only took 2 months of work! Thank you AMES!)

Okay. Here's the rough story as I have it right now:

Dennis (That would be my role of the same name, I'm reffering to the character, hence the apparant third person.) has left Angel Grove for the city of Paradise Valley. After the defeat of Balthazar Angel Grove remained relatively calm, and Tommy and Kat once again retired, for reasons I have yet to flesh out to make sense (^_~), Dennis is now in possesion of the Red and Yellow Neomorphers, as well as his own (blue).

His new life in Paradise Valley seems quiet enough, but a new danger arises (surprise, surprise). A violent attack occurs at his College, and he is forced to give the Yellow and Red Neomorphers to new rangers in order to combat the threat.

Fight Scenes ensue.

Couple of Technical Notes:

The outfits will be spandex.

The outfits will most likely look very different from the designs in Neoranger.

I cannot garuntee giant monster/robot fights.

I'm very tempted to do the entire thing in japanese dialouge, and then subtitle the sucker. Why? Because Japanese voices are fun to listen to.

This sounds really good and I'm all for japanese dialouge. =( I'd love to donate but I can't yet, but if you do another fundraiser next year I will so donate.

Ah, Idle speculation. Always fun.

Kat gets pregnant. Which means Tommy's toast in nine months*...hmmm.

*She'll be in labor and she's a trained martial artist. Think about it.

Kat or Tommy get injured in such a way that they can't continue being Rangers and the other refuses to continue being one without the other.

Career reasons that require them to move away from Angel Grove. They got rid of Jason, Trini and Zack in a similar fashion on the series.

Some kind of family thing? Kat getting deported perhaps?

Question: According to Neoranger, Billy was the Leader, or at least, that's the impression that I got. Wouldn't the job of selecting two new Rangers be up to him?

You're missing the point actually. ^_^;

Dennis will be the only character from the first "movie", as he is me and therefore I can play him easily, and I don't feel like having unknowns play famous actors roles. (I would never desecrate the character of Billy by having someone other than David Yost play him).

The story starts with Dennis at his new college, the whole spiel with Kat and Tommy leaving was just backstory to set up where the film begins. Why Dennis is no longer in Angel Grove, and why he has the red and yellow neomorphers in addition to his own.

Did the green ranger Evan not get accepted to the same college as Dennis? I would of thought they would of stuck together.

Evan stayed at Angel Grove University with Billy (who enrolled after he came back to Earth you'll remember).

(Also, the "real" Evan is 26 years old, and walks with a cane, fight scenes would be very hard for him to do.)

Oh man, this is SWEET! I've gotta say, I love this idea of yours, Dennis (not that I haven't liked any other ideas, it's just that my memory is too crappy for me to remember any other ideas). ^^;;

That would be fun, I think.. I can just see it...

All the actors/rangers all stood there, in the middle of the park, wearing thier spandex and ignoring the stares and pointing fingers from the other parkgoers, all staring at their scripts. Not a word is said among them. After a few moments, one of them scratches absently at his helment, then looks over at Dennis, "Uhm.. Dennis? Why didn't you mention that we'd be speaking Japanese...?"

Dennis smiles a bit and shrugs, striving to look innocent, "It's fun to listen to."

The other actors seems doubtful, but they nod a little, tucking their scripts away into Spandex Space (tm) and shuffling away to their places and striking their poses.

Dennis follows suit, and someone off screen shouts, "5... 4... 3... 2... 1... action!"

The actors/rangers leap into action, dutifully doing battle with the recylcl-able canon fodder of the series (putties!). The rangers and the canon foder are doing a beautiful job. Then, one of the rangers crumpled under the repeated enemy attacks, and the surviving canon fodder scampered over around the fallen ranger and teleported away with her(?).

All of the other rangers looked shocked, saddened and surprisedall at once, opening their mouths to shout out something to the empty air, or to the Evil Bad Guy (tm) that is probably listening in.

However, not a peep is heard. After a moment, the ranger who had spoken itially slumps dejectedly and slinks over to Dennis, pulling his script out and pointing to a line while looking at Dennis, "Uh.. How do I pronounce this again?"

Dennis looked from the script to the face of the actor, and enlightetened him as to the proper pronunciation.

"Ah! okay.." said the enlightened one, and turned away, murmuring the line under his breath so he'd not forget.. he got about two steps back before he stopped again, "And, uhm.. what does that mean?"

Dennis facevaulted.

... Yes, I'm crazy, why do you ask?
