Samurai pointed this out to me.<P>Any chance the Dr is going to do the smart thing and just turn the machine OFF to fix the problem? ^_^

Agh, Nobody on this forum realizes that a machine producing that much energy could not be shut down so quickly, Its just common sense.

I think it'd have to do with the instabilitys. Once it starts gaining mass, if you just pulled the plug, the gate's would most likely support itself and therefore keeps itself open... they have to work to shut it down by (excuse the analogy) pulling out the threads one at a time. It they pulled the plug, it wouldn't close immediatly, and most likely, it wouldn't close fully. Then you end up with creatures coming in from other dimensions and busting things up right in the middle of the important things like the dance.... <P>*ahem* Okay, no more X-men Evolution for Mikey.<P>------------------
